「Chris the owner always makes you feel welcome. Dining in the pub is always a tasty experience, as is the selection of ales on the bar. Rooms are tasteful in good shape, and comfortable. Parking is easy, great value for money 」

「The hotel was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent (119) with king size bed and plenty of room. The bathroom was newly decorated and the shower very good. The room, corridors and reception area were clean and tidy. The only negative is that there is no food on site and the leisure facilities are no longer open and will probably never re-open. Food and drink can be found nearby at The Farrier attached to the Premier Inn which was nearly double the...

「Stayed here many times over the years as it's convenient for Donington racing circuit. It's not a 5 star hotel, but gives excellent value for money in comfortable surroundings. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the pub making it a convenient stopover. Plenty of free parking as well. Will definitely be visiting again. About 9 miles from Donington.」

「Always enjoy staying here. Splendid room, spacious and comfortable. Building itself is historic. Breakfast was very good and worth having, not least for the magnificence of the surroundings. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. 」
