"Excellent hotel in the lively area of Namba in Osaka. The hotel is very new and well maintained. We had spacious and comfortable connecting rooms. The onsen was great: too bad that the geometry of the hotel (a tower, as the name says) did not allow for a rotenburo (open-air onsen). Overall, absolutely excellent.
One thing that caught me off-guard: the booking person’s passport was required. It had never occurred to me in 25 years of travel to Japan and apparently it is a new rule in Osaka Prefecture. I was travelling out of our base in Kobe and so I did not bring my passport with me. I fortunately always have scans of alla family members’ passports in my phone, so we could solve that. Make sure to have your passport with you!"
