「We had a lovely couple of nights stay. It’s a great location for visiting Umhlanga, everyone was lovely and the accommodation was extremely comfortable with a lovely lounge at the top of the property, with a great view of the sea. Highly recommend and will stay again when next visiting」

「Our best stay in South Africa by far. We stayed for 6 days. So sad to leave. Sandy looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Our spacious room opened onto a terrace overlooking a beautiful pool and garden area. A great breakfast. Staff were excellent always smiling, in a great leafy quiet residential area and only a 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants. We will be back when we return to South Africa 」

「We especially liked the friendliness of the staff,the wonderful quiet garden and the breakfast. Unluckily our whirlpool did not work and we missed a brush to clean the toilet. But these 2 little mistakes do not bother our great experience with u Shaka manor.」

「Lovely property in safe and quiet area. Direct access to beach, although we did not swim there, but very clean. Room was very spacious and comfortable although lacks natural light. Pool area is very nice with loungers and seating, some in a shaded gazebo. There are books and games available. Breakfast catered for us as vegetarians, fruit and cereals plus cooked options. 「Really loved this place. Unique architecture. Beautifully decorated, with a great sense of detail. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly (shoutout to Abel and Shirley). The owners helped us with a recommendation of a doctor. The location at the beach is great. The pool is beautiful. Views of the ocean from all rooms. We will be back! 」

「The Flamingo Lodge was great! Just a few minutes walk to Umhlanga Rocks beach and the famous Whale Bone pier. Surprisingly, it is really close to the Umhlanga action and restaurants, but peaceful inside. The Staff was great, they were quick to do anything that needed doing and had access or instructions for the various activities in the area. They even helped out with the 2 year. I will certainly stay again!」
