"Arrived 2.5 hours before 3pm check-in and hotel staff were happy to store baggage and move up to room when it was ready, so we could explore the Castle. Bed wonderfully comfortable. Onsen had free washing machines with auto detergent (+100 yen per 20 minutes drying), nice sauna, cold plunge bath and large pool (although pool was cooler than most onsen). Breakfast was primarily Japanese (many excellent choices) and small bowls/knives/forks made it harder to eat western style, so we went with...

"Great place to stay when visiting Matsumoto. It’s very close to the train and bus stations - making it ideal to arrive leave the bags and explore. The castle was just 10 minutes walk. The room was huge and the hotel has a little hot bath facility.
Breakfast was included, which was a lovely Japanese style buffet. The hotel also offered a welcome drink and after dinner snack, which are lovely things to offer guests. I highly recommend this place "
