Good location, comfort, great staff. Nice pool.
Good location 10 min walk to either Ubud market or the monkey forest. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillow - probably gets hotel bed we’ve had. Staff were happy to let my 5 year old son feed the fish, and taught him to talk to the pet birds in Indonesian. Pools are nice. Good little shallow areas for kids too. Overall rooms could use a revamp, but all in all got what we paid for we feel. Some building happening around outside of the hotel - nothing they can control. Would happily stay again

Great location. The property is set back from the main Street. So it’s nice and quiet when you need to rest, but walkable to stores, restaurants, spas, etc. Rice field view and visiting monkeys are a plus for our family. The units are older and can be updated but for the price, we would stay here again.

The dirtiest place that we have ever stayed - dirty bed linen(dried blood on the pillowcase), hair in the bathroom, filthy toilet, shower that doesn’t get warm/hot, algae in the one pool that is open. We due to stay 2 nights, but due to the condition of the hotel we stayed only 1 night. I am currently waiting on a refund for the second night.

Love our stay!
The hotel is perfectly located for walking everywhere in Ubud. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool setting overlooking the rice field was a highlight. The food was delicious at the restaurant too. We highly recommend Cendana, and would stay again when we visit Ubud.

The room could be fitted with more hooks and places to hang our clothes, and the furniture needs upgrading. Staff were friendly and helpful. More breakfast options would be great but, understand that the hotel would need more staff for that. The doorknob on our bathroom door was faulty and it was rather difficult to open and close the door. I think guests should also be provided with power adapters, as all power outlets are only compatible with Type C European plugs and Schuko Type F plugs. The beds had mosquito nets which was really helpful as mosquitoes abound especially at dusk and nighttime (this should come as no surprise, because there are rice paddy fields within the vicinity). The hotel is walking distance from the city centre. Overall it was a good stay at the hotel, and I enjoyed the staff’s hospitality.

The grounds were outstanding. Breakfast buffet was good with variety. The superior room was nice, good air-con, fridge and TV, big bathroom although a shower drainage problem in room 302. location was great being close to everything you need and property was quiet (my room was down the back away from nearby nightclub / bar with live band every night) I would stay here again.

Oasis tucked in among the bustle of Ubud
This resort was great. The staff were very friendly and the grounds were immaculate. Compared to other resorts in Bali they take a lot of pride in maintaining the gardens and pool area. The rooms were spacious and beds were really comfortable. Wifi was good and no noise from surrounding area despite previous reviews. The staff at the restaurant were great and always welcoming. The bathrooms are in need of an update but still clean. Great value for the cost of a night here. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again!

The resort was lovely, great facilities and a serene looking garden and pool area. Overlooking some rice growing fields, but also central to and easy walking to tourist attractions, markets and great eating places. But at bed time this all changed. Immediately next door is a night club, the sound of music was relentless playing until 3:00am every day.

An oasis of authentic Balinese hotel architecture overlooking rice fields in the middle of Ubud. This resort is perfectly situated between monkey forest and the palace. It is surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and yes, even starbucks. The negatives were a very disappointing spa experience, despite an alluring on-site spa space near a river. There is also night club noise every evening from about 11pm until early in the morning of the next day.

It was cheap for what you got. Had everything you needed. It had a pool, taxi service from reception, cleaners which could wash your clothes (if needed), food (including room service options), and a bar and restaurant on site. It was right next to the monkey forest and had restaurants and bars surrounding the area.

Nice, simple hotel with a beautiful view
The room was very basic and the bathroom was very large. The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms were clean but a little old. Towels and sheets were very clean, and there were some cobwebs on the walls but that did not bother us. The pool was being cleaned so we could not use it during our stay. The view of the rice terraces is very relaxing and each room comes with a patio area which is nice for relaxing.

Tranquility close to the town centre
Cendana is well located where you have the serenity of paddy fields in front of the room as well as short walks to the Ubud market and other amenities. The staff are all very warm and friendly. Housekeeping staff take pains to keep the place clean even though the standard rooms are dated. They work hard to maintain cleanliness. The gardens are also kept beautiful by diligent staff. The pool at the back is amazing. Next time I come I will choose the deluxe rooms at the back of the property that have a fridge and TV.

Beautiful, clean, and well situated.
Very nice resort in the middle of town. The location is right off of monkey forest road, but once you enter the premises you would never know it. You are situated right next to a rice field, and the grounds are very well kept. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room itself is very comfortable, although you will need to pull the mosquito netting at night. The only thing that is a bit negative is there is a bar close by that plays music quite loud, but it is usually over by 11:00 or so. Price you pay to be within walking distance of monkey forest, palace, yoga, shops, restaurants, the art market, etc. Really a wonderful spot for the price.

Good hotel with amazing pool view
The Cendana is in a great location in Ubud, right by the Ubud Market, Ubud temple, Monkey forest etc. you can walk to all those places no problem. The pools were amazing and you can't beat looking into the rice fields from the infinity pool! The breakfast was great! The rooms were really unique and very much represented Balinese culture. The room bathrooms were fine however the showers didn't have a shower curtain which was a little funky, but not a big deal to us. We got fresh towels and linens every morning and the staff was very nice and helpful!

The hotel is old. It looks exactly as 20 years ago the bathroom is nos updated. The cushions from the veranda chairs and lounge chairr are worn.
