Nice hotel, would stay here again

We get a room on the second floor, next to the reception and also close to the road. It was very loud, coudn´t sleep. Changed room the other day witch was located in the middle of the hotel complex. Nice and quiet, slept like a baby. Very nice poolarea, and the breakfast buffé is good. Nice relaxing spa! If I´ll visit Ubud again I might stay here again. Tips, rent a scooter to go back and forth to Ubud market, much quicker then taxi due to traffic jams. 70' per day.

Fantastic Rice Field views

We had a back room which had a fantastic Rice fields views, very private and comfortable. Front rooms were a little bit noisy because of the closeness to the traffic.

Fint hotel med serviceminded personale. Gratis shuttlebus til centrum. God restaurant såvel morgen som aften. Hyggelig balkon med udsigt over markerne. Der er meget lyt mellem værelserne, så man kan høre alt. Fik SPA behandling på hotellet, hvilket var en skuffelse, så det kan ikke anbefales.

Nice hotel at the edge of the ricefields

+ The buildings are in wonderful garden with little streams, ponds and fountains. The views to the ricefields and palms are stunning. The rooms are spacious with a large balcony. The staff is very friendly and really helpful are in all matters. - when we arrived was no room available despite we had a confirmed reservation. so we had to move to another hotel and we had to move again at the next day. We got both 30 min massage as compensation. The restaurant is small and for breakfast are sometimes not enough seats. We had to wait. The hotel is a bit remote from Ubud center, but we could rent a motorbike for just a little money and the hotel runs a shuttle car. (No idea about the system, we used it just once.)

nice place but needs a lot of improvement

When I checked in, the staff told me that the bath tub in my room was broken so they put me to a nearby villa called villa nini. The staff said I'd like the villa because it's secluded, more quiet and more private. One building only houses one villa with nothing around you but the rice fields. I told her that I prefer a hotel because I don't want that much of seclusion And I booked to stay in the bungalow NOT a villa. Anyway, I stayed at the private villa and couldn't sleep because the bed and pillows were hard. So the next day I still asked to stay at Bliss. They moved me there, put me in a room with broken AC (it's hot) and the TV didn't offer much entertainment (limited channels). The bed and pillows were also hard. I only slept for 2 hours, the AC was humid. I didn't want to bother calling engineering in the middle of the night and opened the door slightly. Plus point: staffs were friendly and breakfast is ok, will I stay there again? Probably not.

Schöner Aufenthalt!

Im Allgemeinen ganz okay, für einen Kurzaufenthalt (3-4 Nächte) ideal. Mangelnde Hygiene in den Zimmern - schmutziger Kühlschrank, schmutziges Moskitonetz und Bettwäsche, Badezimmer eher veraltet. Poolanlage und Garten sehr schön und entspannend. SPA-Bereich i.O., jedoch auch ein bisschen 'schmudelig'. Shuttle-Service 3x tgl zuverlässig, auch ausserhalb der fixen Zeiten gegen kleinen Aufpreis (50.000 IDR) immer verfügbar. Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Trotz Abreise früh am Morgen haben wir ohne Aufforderung eine Frühstücksbox erhalten, sehr aufmerksam. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Naturalistico!

Immerso nel silenzio delle risaie in un labirinto di piante e fiori...I bungalow sono molto belli e ben attrezzati. Sempre molto puliti da un personale molto cortese e sempre sorridente. Possibile fare la colazione nel terrazzo del proprio bungalow ammirando le risaie di fronte. Si trova a 7 min in macchina dal centro di Ubud facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi facendo una passeggiata. L'hotel inoltre mette a disposizione uno shuttle tre volte al giorno per il trasporto gratuito al centro di Ubud.

Relaxing stay !

Beautifully serene landscape (From room 8) loved the location !! Good eateries nearby !Ratshit footpaths everywhere ( I damaged both ankles at night,stepping into a hole, NOT hotels fault. )Really have to pay close attention where you step at night !!! Even with that , a great stay !!Beautifully clean pool & surroundings ! Didn't like the step in shower ! Especially with two bad ancles !!!

gorgeous setting inside rice paddie fields

The rooms are functional, clean, air conditioned, spacious and secure. I found the walls were a little thin and yiu could hear next doors discussions (muffled). The staff are fantastic, so lovely, friendly and nothing is a problem, great English. The pool is beautiful. For the price, the best value in Ubud. i would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel and nice staff.a little way out of town but shuttle bus available 3 times a day. Only 50/80 rupiahs to get back to hotel.breakfast was very good, plenty of choice.

Beautiful!

The hotel and property were both beautiful. The view of the rice paddies from the window was absolutely breathtaking. The only negative was that the walls were very thin so we could hear all of our neighbors. Regardless I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet oasis outside the center

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was nice with a view of rice fields. The pool was great and so was the breakfast. Very quiet and private ambiance. The only minus was the construction site opposite the hotel and the noise. But they are building new everywhere in Ubud, so can't avoid that.

Quiet hotel just outside Ubud

Although Bliss is set on the main road, the rooms are all very quiet and feel secluded. Arriving at midnight I was lead down a path lit by candles to my room . Frogs, crickets and fireflies welcomed me. Huge canopy bed with giant muslin mosquito net, cool stone floors and outdoor daybed-quite lovely, typical Balinese style. The room smelt like it had been closed up for months though and was quite disappointing. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful and a beautiful room by the pool was organised at no extra cost despite being a more expensive option. The rest was blissful... The pool was rarely used and very quiet, the perfect place to totally relax under a frangipani tree. Overall Bliss is a peaceful, beautiful and very reasonably priced hotel just a short drive from the centre of Ubud. Highly recommended.

Great location for writers & readers festival

Ideal location for Ubud writers and readers festival. Ten minutes walk to event , or two minutes by motor bike or car. Add another ten minutes if you want to go to the heart of Ubud shopping. But if you want to swim in a beautiful pool and do laps at eye height to the paddy fields, this ticks all the boxes. It's a very peaceful environment. Staff are very obliging. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Dissapointed

Driver didn't show up at airport even though confirmed, once dropped off, my hotel booking was "lost". The girl at the front desk even showed me that I wasn't on the list of arrivals, that they were fully booked and I felt like she was trying to turn me away. I asked what are we going to do and she said something to the effect to find another hotel...I replied that would be a problem as I've already paid to stay at Bliss. She called someone- and then told me they were going to upgrade me and sent me to their sister hotel the Ananda Cottages. I was taken to my room, no one told me about the free breakfast,wifi password, etc....I was just kinda ushered away as if they didn't want to deal with me. I was really too exhausted to argue. The next day I asked to be taken back to bliss and spoke with the manager by the phone. I explained how disappointed I was from the beginning about the vehicle not showing up at the airport, the non-response from my emails, the lost booking, the "upgrade" which had features I didn't want and she ensured me that a room was available back at Bliss and I could move right away. So, I packed my stuff was charged for a beer and a soda from my minibar and moved into my room at bliss. No other comps were offered but I also didn't ask. Once in bliss I was much happier although the wifi never worked and as stated in other reviews...wow those walls are SOOOO thin.

Accommodation Bliss Spa

This is a nice place to spend Quiet time. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Nothing is to difficult. The facility is traditional Balinese and if you can speak Balinese the service is extra special. I would highly recommend this place for a budget stay.

Beautiful Bungalows Overlooking Rice Paddies

Bliss is a gem of a hotel, tucked between lush gardens and overlooking the type of verdant rice paddies Ubud is famous for. It is quiet, clean and really romantic with delicious breakfast offerings of banana fritters and fresh fruit. The only downside is that the bungalows are a bit far from town: about 40 min on foot and 10 min on motorbike. The sidewalks in the area are pretty run down, so if you're not careful, it's easy to fall into one of many gaping holes leading to the sewers. But if you find good transportation, this is a wonderful place to stay!
