"The room was run down and in need of repairs. There was a foul odor in the toilet. The towel bar in the shower was missing. The walls in the shower were caked with accumulated soap film and were unclean. In the lavatory area, there was a portion of the wall where something had been attached (probably a hand soap dispenser) to the wall but was torn off leaving broken hole in the drywall. The wall switch light by the door was too dim, around a 40-watt light. Three of the other lamps didn't even have bulbs in the sockets. And I asked for a wake-up call that never came."
Horseshoe Bossier City– A Caesars Rewards Destination
10/10 Excellent
"I almost always stay at the Horseshoe when in Shreveport. The newly renovated rooms are very nice and the security is a huge plus with cameras in the garage parking area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I do not use the Casino."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shreveport Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel. Room was clean, spacious, and well-lit. Everything worked. Bed was particularly good.
Shower was a bit slippery and I was glad there were some sturdy grab bars. Parking can be a little tough.
Not a criticism, just a FYI because it's a bit unusual: there are a lot of restaurants nearby but it's mostly fast food or local restaurants. Most mid-tier chain restaurants are on the other side of the metro area."
"Clean quiet room with a comfortable bed. Wasn't real hungry so the chef's salad at the deli sufficed nicely. Also made use of a well equipped fitness room followed by a nice soak in the hot pool. Altogether a very nice stay."
"The hotel was fairly nice, but bring your heavy winter coat because your room will be freezing cold when you get there! Your breakfast, while tasty will be stone cold by the time you get to your table. There was also a noticeable bad smell in the hallways, like the smell of sewer gas. I don't think this property deserves being rated in the 8.0 - 9.0 range. It really was in the 7.5 range. I wish I had known there was a Hampton Inn right next to this property when I booked, because I would have stayed there."
