Recently renovated period property with modern annexe. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our Executive Room was contemporary and stylish. It was spotlessly clean and nice and quiet. The hotel serves good pub food. It is located in the centre of a small, rather down-at-heel town near the Bombay Hills, south of Auckland.

Best bathroom design & details seen for a long time, e.g. shower door seals well so no dangerous puddles on tiled floor, hot/cold symbols visible on mixers, quick hot water, and good extraction. Also good to have single room for lower price available, good for single or working trips instead of paying more for unused space & beds.
