The positive: Furnishings were up-to-date and lovely. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. These are the basics and Courtyard delivered on them.
The negative: the electrical outlets on the bedside lamps were so loose that they wouldn't hold a plug, which meant that both of us had to put our phones in inconvenient places while we slept. Also, the thermostat seemed unresponsive to anything we tried. It was freezing when we arrived and stifling during the night.
I'm not a prima dona. My husband and I take lots of road trips during which we often stay at 1950's vintage motels. We pay $60-80 and accept that there will be issues. But Courtyard Marriott charges nearly triple that amount. For that price, I expect far better. THIS IS A MARRIOTT PROPERTY! DO BETTER!
