"Everything about our trip was lovely. Except the room we were given. Our room 17 located at the back of the building above the kitchen. The noise of the air con units from the kitchen started work about 4am. There was no air con in the room and it was extremely warm in there. We couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. Phylis Court is a lovely place to stay if you don’t have this type of room. The service is above and beyond the location is delightful and so near the town "

"I saw lots of complaints on reviews but gave it a chance as it was very cheap. Basically - you get what you pay for, and a bit more. For £45 - £20 deposit I got a reasonable room with coffee making facilities and very good service. I would stay again as it was so cheap and really friendly staff. Many thanks"

"The property is not located where advertised. It claims to be 1 minute away from the waterside theatre and therefore not far from the train station. This was very important to me and my wife who were travelling with several heavy bags and needed to be very close to both and this is the exact reason we booked it. However, it turns out it’s around 25 minute walk away from the theatre! As a result, we had to take a couple of Ubers back and forth and thought it only fair the host covers the cost...

"Hotel has good location. Room (Victoria, on first floor) was large and clean. Easy access into room using keypad. Owner was helpful with issue booking through hotels.com. Allowed us an early check in, which was appreciated. We did have an issue where we were woken up around midnight with the lights flickering on and off, a smell of electrical wires burning and a sound of electric arcing. Apartment is very accessible and secure with digital locks at the gate and front door. Overall I’d recommended staying here, but the only negative was the beds.
