This is a well worn, basic property with a very hard bed. Check in via lock box. Helpful video for finding your way in. Tiniest of lifts to 7th floor and steep walk to 8th floor.

Front desk only there for certain hours of the day, but helpful and allowed us to store our luggage when checking out early. Many stairs needed to get to our room and it was 6 flights of stairs despite only being on the 4th floor. Poor lighting on the 2 unnumbered floors so have your phone available for light if walking down the stairs at night

The apartments and hotel location were great, but the check-in/check-out processes were unclear and rather stressful. We had asked about leaving our luggage before check-in, which they said we could do, but there is no luggage room, just the foyer of the hotel. The reception closes at 1pm, so you have to check in on your own, but you can’t check out before 8:30am and it can take a while, which is stressful if you have to catch a bus/train.

Ok for a brief stay

Location is good and checkin quite easy due to self checkin. The appartment is sufficient for two persons, but quite scarcely equipped (one cup for two?). Bathroom surely needs renovation. Road is noisy, but thanks to airconditioning you can keep windows closed. Overall ok for a brief stay downtown, but nothing special.

Property was inexpensive compared to rest of the area. It is close to cruise port. Furniture is tired looking and needs to be replaced. Shower is tiny and only usable for small children. Street noise is unbearably loud. Unit needs better windows to muffle noise. Unit has trigger fuse that needs to be reset when it is triggered. It is ok for a couple nights stay but not for longer stays.

Their queen size bed is two beds put together and the partition in between the bed keeps separating throughout the night making it very uncomfortable. Otherwise room is nice

So, although check-in is from 2pm to 8pm there's no-one there after 1pm, keys are just left in a safe. Stairwell is dark and smelly - it's a mid-century block of flats, so no excuse of old-world charm. There's a button somewhere to turn the lights on for 10 seconds... or is that someone's doorbell? Room was clean enough, but dated; the sofa was old and flaking. Most worrying was the balcony railing which had clearly been fixed at some point, but was coming away from the wall with chunks of loose, cracked cement threatening to fall two stories below. Wasn't an ocean view as promised - was a street view which entertained my boy despite the noise and traffic fumes. Top tip - keep windows closed and lower the external blinds.

The room was comfortable, spacious and clean, very adequate for visiting the city and around, with good links. The actual building and reception area lacks any warmth or character so the place is ideal providing you are not looking for any kind of hotel 'atmosphere.' Thank you.
