I arrived at Hotel Continental after a ten cruise only to discover it was Closed for renovations. I had had the paid reservation for two months and was never notified that the hotel was closing. I’m sure they knew it would be closed and still accepted reservations. This caused a great deal of unnecessary anxiety for my partner and I. Luckily one of the workmen walked us to a different hotel close by.

They removed our reservation to another hotel! They didn't send a message through Expedia! They sent a short notice to my husband's email! We weren't happy about this change! You still think we stayed at Continental. NO We couldnt'. Isnt this your business? We reserved the hotel through Expedia!

This was an easy, elegant, and comfortable place to stay. The staff were great--pleasant and responsive. Everything was clean and worked well, our triple room was spacious and had character, and breakfast was especially nice. The location was excellent for both walking and for bus or taxi transportation. There was a day when the internet went down, but that seemed to be outside the hotel. I would happiliy stay here again.

Clean, small room but ok for a short stay. Very good breakfast and we enjoyed a good evening meal on the outside terrace. Hotel location is good and an easy walking distance to the cruise port.

I was going on the cruise ship and stayed one night. The location was super. I was at the Venice airport and took the FLIXBus to Trieste. The bus stop was only a 10-13 minute walk with my large luggage to the hotel. We walk to the cruise port was about 15 minutes walk. We were so lucky to find this perfect hotel. The front desk staff was pleasant and super nice.

V nice centrally located..great breakast in outside... it would've been good to know it was located in a pedestrian street to pre warn taxi driver and for us to be prepared to carry bags 100m

Good choice to be in the heart of the city
The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the city.Central to all the main sites. Breakfast can be taken outside at the tables in front of the hotel right in the middle of the pedestrian zone which is nice.

Park a car by yourself
Great hotel but bad vallet parking. I had to comfornt the Police because the Hotel does not have a place to park a car even for 5 minutes, therefore my car was waiting on the stree. And I had to wait 45 minutes to get my car back. If I would be the manager, I would give the customer free parking in that case. So park you car by yourself (there is a garage 200m away) and you will have a great time.

Great location and service!
I was very happy with my stay; the service was great, in particular one man at reception whose name began with a T (sorry I didn't get his full name). He was truly exceptional in offering ideas of things to do, how to get places, and really went out of his way to help. The breakfast was great as well, with great service there as well. The room itself was a little small, but fine and clean and comfortable bed. It had an accessible bathroom, with shower in the middle of the room for those who may need to sit, as well as small shower stall. Shower was a bit slippery and has a step up into it, so perhaps they could add some non slip material). But it wasn't an issue for me, but just letting others know in case it is. The location is great, very central, only about 3-5 minutes walking to all the major sites, and the hotel's location itself is very lively with a lot of shops and restaurants right outside the door. The hotel has a nice looking restaurant as well with outdoor seating; I didn't have a chance to eat there, but it looked nice. Overall a great stay and I would stay there again!

Great when you have aircon
4 nights started rocky when we were given a terrible room with no aircon, the room was too hot to sleep in. After complaining, we were moved to a fantastic room with aircon. A great place in a great location.

Great hotel in central Trieste
Gorgeous hotel, great location in the centre of town on a pedestrianised street so no traffic. Restaurant was excellent, lovely food and great service. Good value too. Brilliant breakfast outside on the terrace again with excellent service. Would love to have been able to stay longer!

While it was extremely hot outside the room temperature was not that cool. The buffet breakfast was just ok. Location was really good!!!

Modern suite near city center
In the palace suite we had a modern washer and kitchen all behind doors so it was a very classy look. The staff was superb, helping with luggage and booking transportation. Breakfast was wonderful. It is close to the main piazza and about a 15 minute walk to the train and bus.
