Tokyo Sea Life Park Tours

Tokyo Sea Life Park showing a garden
Enjoy watching the adorable penguins and scary sharks, while kids learn about marine life through touch in this leafy aquarium in a seaside park.

Tokyo Sea Life Park is a modern and inventive aquarium made up of several sections and tanks containing animals from around the globe. With its architectural gems, it has an airy feel and aims to recreate the habitats of its aquatic creatures. Find out about the quirks and traits of exotic sea life in the displays across this park aquarium.

Wander through the Penguin Habitat in the aquarium’s northwestern corner. Children especially adore the cute creatures waddling around their enclosures. Head east to the Seabird Habitat to get a look at the auks and puffins. Marvel at the fearsome sharks and impressive tuna in the Voyagers of the Sea displays.

Admire the elegance of the open-air aquarium, with a glass dome and sky plaza forming the architectural highlight. Ride its escalator up to the viewing platform and spot the majestic pond and fountains. Nearby stands the Nature Along the Water’s Edge area, inhabited by Oriental storks, red-crowned cranes and other Japanese water birds.

Browse the vast array of souvenirs and fish-related items on the shelves of the gift shop. Food and drink are available in the on-site Restaurant Sea Wind, which is in the complex’s southeastern corner. Enjoy a meal on the terrace, with unobstructed views of the sea and the surrounding parkland.

Visit the site during open hours from morning until late afternoon from Thursday to Tuesday. There is a fee to enter the aquarium with lower prices for seniors and students. Children 12 years old or under can enter for free.

Tokyo Sea Life Park marks the southern part of Kasai Rinkai Park on the southern cape of the Edogawa Ward. Arrive at the Kasai-Rinkai-Koen railway station and walk south through the leafy grounds for 10 minutes to get here. While in the area, visit nearby favorites such as the Tokyo Metro Museum, Kasai Beach Park and the Lotte Kasai Golf Course.
