Very helpful and friendly staff. Daily room cleaning kept my stay feeling fresh. Laundry, vending machines, etc. were all on site at the hotel.

Pretty good value
Location was pretty good, about 3 blocks from :JR station Okachimachi, one or two blocks from 3 different Subway lines so easy to get around from here. Room was pretty good, as was internet, although did have some problems staying connected,but was fast enough when hooked up.. Only real complaint was coffee and breakfast at the hotel not available till 8am. We had to run across the street every morning to get coffee at the Family Mart. At least it was close. Sun comes up at arround 6 am (late October) so don't get the breakfast if you want an early start.Only other minor complaint is they use regular keys and want you to give them the key when you leave and show them a piece of paper when you return. With 2 people this can be problematic if you go different ways and you're not sure who will return first.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this hotel; location, service, service-mind of front office (especially the young lady which I couldn't remember her name, truly sorry, that tried to help us in contacting attraction we'd like to go and use only Japanese!) The only thing that I felt a bit unpleasant was a musty smell from their bed sheet and blanket; might be because it's rainy season

Great at location. But there is only stairs can be reach to the reception desk, so it is difficult for someone have heavy suit-cases to carry. Nice hotel since I lived in Ueno area for several different hotels, This is the best.

Room smelt bad and had a linking problem. Staff was sort of nice, but they were not eager to make your stay comfortable and their English is so limited that you have to be very patient to ask for anything.

Easy to access because this hotel is near by Ueno Station. And you can enjoy with a near by shopping street as Ameyoko Market. If you come in Sakura Season, Ueno Garden is very close.

Convenient Location
Location of hotel is excellent, very close to Yushima station, and not far from other stations too. Food and convinent store are all around the area too. Area surrounding hotel itself is quiet. Reception operates 24 hour is a plus. The only down side maybe the air-conditioning, it is either too warm or too cold, not easy to set the temperature just right. Will definitely return for the next trip to tokyo.

Staff was helpful. Location is great, within walking distance of two subway stations, Ueno Park, and Keisei and JR rail. Room was clean and although tight, satisfactory since we spent little time in the room. The hotel was remodeling, which might account for not fixing a broken closet door. We did not eat in the hotel, but there are very many places of various kinds to eat nearby.

Enjoyed my stay
The hotel is conveniently close to the metro and a few convenience stores and restaurants. The room was small but that's typical in Japanese hotels. The staff was friendly and even let us store our bags for a couple of hours after we checked out. The hotel is near ueno park and akihabara which are two must go places, so I would recommend this place to friends or stay here again.

Beware...
My review, this isn't a hotel. Its a motel or a upgrade hostel. You have to give your room key to reception when you get out and ask again when you return back. I requested a non smoking area, once I was in the room I can smell smoke. And gives me a headache. I requested to another room with no avail.

Convient budget hotel close to Akihabara
I've been to Japan several times and can speak some Japanese. The reception staff are helpful though they are not able to speak English (This is common in Japan). The hotel does not use a key card system. You need to get your room keys from the front counter with your booking ticket (given to you during check in) to get to your room. You will also need to return the keys back to the front when you are heading out. For the price of the hotel this is a very minor inconvenience for the price you are getting. If you are looking to be close to Akihabara and on budget. This would be a good hotel to go to as it is located outside of the main Akihabara shopping area and you are still within walking distance of Ueno.
