I was a little scared that the location would be noisy at night but not at all. It was dead quiet. The staff was phenomenal: extremely helpful and welcoming without being overbearing. The room was small but it’s what to be expected for a single bed room in Tokyo. Will definitely stay again on my future Japan trips.

This property is a no frill property. The advantage of staying here is the location. It is clean but lack amenities that you would get at other properties. The bed we stayed in was sagging on one side. The light in the bathroom was dark. We asked the front desk to see if it could be fixed but we were told that’s the norm. So we opted to keep the bathroom door open so the hallway light could permeate to the bathroom. We were part of a group and others in the group stated their bathroom light was bright. The front desk barely spoke English so it was a challenge to communicate. We purchased breakfast at the hotel for 6 days and got the same fixed menu. American or Japanese. No fresh fruit. It was not the usual buffet. Aside from the hotel being clean and its location. I probably am not planning to stay in the future.

Great location, the room for 4 of us was good with 4 single beds. The room was a little small, but appreciated that 4 individual beds were provided. Laundry facility available which was great. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. The area is great, near the JR line, shops nearby as well as many restaurants. Overall had a wonderful experience at this hotel.

The staff here were very receptive and helpful. Room, ours, was a reasonable size and amenities were adequate. Dissapointed that there were no english language television channels, so the rest of the world was off our radar.

Stayed at Kadoya Hotel with my family of 4 (2 adults, kids ages 8 and 12). We had a room with four single beds. This is Japan so obviously we are not talking about a spacious room, but it was adequate for our needs (though we travel light compared to many people - just a cabin-sized luggage each). The bathroom was great, the beds comfortable, the temperature adequate, and of course you can't beat the location for easy access to transportation, shopping, and everything Shinjuku has to offer; there are three convenience stores within 30 seconds walking, too. Check-in was seamless and when we needed little things the staff was also able to help us. We'll be back!

Hotel does not look like much from the outside but the rooms are large, nice and clean. The electric massage chair in the room was awsome. We were on the fourth floor and heard all the street noise.

Caught limosine bus to keio plaza hotel then walked one block. Hotel small very clean, very friendly staff. Has self service laundry. Restraunt next door or two cafes across the road for breaky. Close to subway entrance to shinjuku station. Many restraunts down the street. Great place to stay.

Although we couldn't get a larger room like we did last year, but the smaller room looked like it has been renovated, less dated than the last room. No massage chair though. It is a convenient location with relatively good price.

Staff were incredibly courteous and helpful, especially considering my inability to speak Japanese. I asked for help booking a taxi and front desk staff were incredible, scheduling ahead for the taxi to arrive at my specified time and helping me to get my bags out to the car and my destination address into the hands of my driver. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and despite being no more than a block from busy streets full of food and shopping, I personally experienced no noise pollution or disturbance. Great place!

Wonderful staff and nice room. Close to to everything. My only complaint is that there was only one working dryer in the laundry room and it needed to be run twice to dry clothes - which makes it hard for several guests that need to do laundry. But the hotel was nice and I would stay again.

Convenient location
The Kadoya Hotel in Shinjuku is located in a very convenient place near Shinjuku station, but not too close, so we did not have huge crowds surrounding us to and from the station. The place has clean, but small rooms, which is typical for economical Tokyo hotels. The staff were all super nice and helpful. It really helps to know a bit of Japanese to converse with the staff, but their English was OK. Glad I picked this place and would recommend it. Just a hundred yards from one of the remote exits to the station (in case it is raining) and three short blocks from the main entrances as well as the Keio shopping center, which is basically a 7 floor mall.

Front desk not very helpful
We wanted to book a taxi company that could accommodate our group of 8 to the next city. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was unwilling to help us. Overall, was very satisfied with the property and location.

We stayed for 2 nights ~ first time in Tokyo and were pleased with size of the room ~ we had been warned that most hotel rooms in Tokyo were tiny. We had a twin bed room and had 2 doubled beds and enough room. Great location, restaurants, Starbucks nearby and convenience store next door. Short walk to station and airport buses. Also 1 block from Sunrise Tours office (located at Keio Plaza Hotel) offering great organised tours. 15 minute walk to the east side of Shinjuku station where all the major attractions are so bear that in mind if that’s where you intend to spend most of your time.

Staff was beyond helpful. We lost a phone while out in a different part of Tokyo and the woman at the front desk helped us call all the areas we had been that day to see if anybody had found the phone. One place had found the phone and we were able to retrieve thanks to the staffs help.

The hotel that is located right in the shinjuku West area where the majority of the food is located. Not far from the JR station as well as the Keio station. I simply took the airport bus from the airport to shinjuku West Station and walked over within minutes. This was my 2nd time staying in the hotel, the room seems to have upgrade than the last time I stayed there, or maybe my memory was wrong. I like it alot better this time and for such good value being in the heart of the city. The amenities are sufficient, thou I was quite confused with male version of Lotion and such so I ended up putting everything on afterward 😆 It is right next to a Lawson so you can get almost anything u may need just steps away. The hotel stay I booked included breakfast so it was easy and simple for the morning not needing to find food by myself.
