Excellent transport inside station. Sink in bedroom - slightly weird for us. Staff are polite and helpful when we see them, can borrow ironing board and umbrellas. English of the youngest staff isn’t great when trying to borrow the ironing board, but we manage in the end. Check in and out is automatic at counter, though staff is available to help if you run into trouble. Very clean facilities and room, hotel looks new. Nowhere to comfortably sit in hotel lobby really. But good free amenities and coffee tea.

Hotel can connect to both subway and JR line, very conveniently located and there's decent amount of food options nearby too. Very friendly staff who helped checkin eventhough they are using a new self service system where you interact with their touch TV and a staffmember on their ipad will talk to you through it. They also helped store our luggage for us after we checked out, ill definitely come back to stay here again.

Right on the Gotanda Station. Surprisingly very quiet rooms. I thought the mattress was comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff was friendly.

This was the PERFECT place to stay our first night in Tokyo. The access to the Yamanote Line can’t be beat (it’s literally ABOVE the train station), we got some quick shopping in at Uniqlo (which is on one of the floors above reception), quiet room, and we could get out and going so easily the next morning from Shinjuku. And honestly, the toilets were such a luxury even by Japanese standards! Ha ha Would highly recommend and stay here again!

This is my 3rd time to book this hotel. Staffs are nice and helpful. I requested for a upper floor and they will try their best to do so. Although the room is much smaller than those previous stays, it's still clean and tidy. However, one thing I'd like to mention. I asked the concierge for the possibility to extend my check out time, he didn't check and rejected directly or requested for a pay. I did the same before and they will try to check even though they can't help. He was so mean to me this time and made me disappointed.

My go-to hotel when I visit Japan. I like that it is much closer to the train station and it is closer to Shibuya and Shinjuku. The hotel is clean although the rooms are quite small.

there was no human at the check in counter. but it was easy to navigate thru the check in process. they have 3 W/D in the building and you can check the availability on TV (shows which one is available to use, which ones are in use for how many minutes left to be done etc...)

Excellent stay!! Exit from station is the hotel entrance, super convenient access to mall and food and uniqlo & other shopping. Just 3 stops away from shibuya, very awesome choice if you want to be near shibuya but also want to have some peace away from the crowd. Highly recommended!!

駅直結でこれだけ静かなのは見事だと思いました。他のメッツで洗面所、トイレが分かれてなかったので、期待していなかったのですが、浴槽、洗面、トイレが独立していて、二人で泊まるのに機能的でとても良かったです。掃除も毎日綺麗にして頂き、快適に過ごしました。

Clean, modern and functional! This hotel is located right AT Gotanda Station and thus perfectly positioned as a forward base for trips around Tokyo. It's also well-maintained and clean, with a top-shelf air purifier/ionizer in the room. The only caveat is that the passing trains are audible as a quiet whoosh. Very sensitive guests may find this noticeable.

This was a great hotel considering it's location right inside Gotanda station. We were looking for a cost-effective hotel on the JR line, and it was exactly as described. The room was kept very clean and various toiletries supplied to self select such as bath salts, full skincare regimen etc. We also made use of the laundry self service available which was great. However would recommend an extra second drying cycle is required. This accepts suica card and coins.

Nice service. Good room. Great location, right at Gotanda station. I was on and off the JR Yamamote line a lot, using my JR pass, just a couple of stops to Shibuya, couple more to Shinjuku; the other way it’s about five stops to the monorail to the airport (JR pass works for that too) and a few more to Ginza and Tokyo Station. I did have a hard time finding the hotel entrance, wandered around the station and the surrounding block for a while, Google maps not much help in such a complicated space.

Surprisingly, despite being built directly over a busy train station, the interior of the hotel was very quiet. However, trying to find the entrance from the station was tricky. There is an unmarked entrance on 3rd floor from a department store, and an entrance on first floor which is easy to miss (subtly marked vestibule). They could use more signage.

My third time to stay at the Hotel Mets Gotanda. The location--right above the Gotanda station--cannot be beat. I was allowed to check in at 2:40 p.m., and the staff member who assisted me was quite friendly and helpful. When I made my booking, I requested a room on a high floor; I was given a room on the 10th floor, the hotel's highest. The superior room is a little small, but it is modern and tastefully decorated, and the bed's pillows were very soft and comfortable. The room's soundproofing is quite good, but still you will hear the trains coming and going. But the noise is not bad. I will certainly consider staying there again when I return to Tokyo!

I loved the experience! Great ambience, great little details like bath salts, free coffee, a microwave, and multiple options for pillows. They even offered to lend a hair iron! Incredible staff and amazing establishment.

It is easier to check in if the staffs enter the customers' information instead of tired customers trying to figure it out. The facility is very clean. The amenities are great - quality of coffee was excellent.
