Re: "deluxe twin room" on 12F, facing east.
Room: Spacious for central Tokyo at 18m2. Unobstructed view of Tokyo Skytree and lightshow. Two beds daybed, bedside table, folding table, full-length mirror, minifridge, hot-water kettle, six hangers numerous pegs. Window opens, blackout curtains. TV has multilingual hotel functions incl. status of laundry room. Electrical outlets A-type twin-prong, USB outlets at bedside.
Bathroom: Larger than typical "unit bath," door separates sink/toilet from shower/tub. Sink well lit. Pump toiletries.
Hotel: Bilingual signage, taxi info in elevator (time/fare to nearby rail stations, NRT, HND). Laundry room two coin-op washer-dryer pairs (detergent included, 300 JPY per wash, 100 JPY per 30min dry), ice, drinks, microwave. Front desk faces elevators, so expect to be greeted; lobby spacious with stylish furniture, doubles as bell closet.
Staff: Polite, efficient, helpful. When laundry-room microwave was broken, they heated my combini dinner in staff-room.
Negatives: Staircase emergency-only, elevator can be busy/slow. Laundry room unvented hence stifling-hot. Would swap daybed for chair and suitcase-stand.
Access: Steps from Exit 1 of Naka-Okachimachi (H17), staircase-only. If arriving from NRT by Keisei Skyliner, ped access from Ueno Station, but 900m with escalators; taxi is 1000 JPY.
Area: Low-rise res neighborhood, quiet in evening, cafes and combinis for cheap food. Extensive shopping and late-night dining to NE in Ameyoko etc.
