"Our finest day was borrowing bikes from the hotel and bicycling to Kirinda. Wonderful secluded beach 12 Km from Tissa. Also the evening flight of fruit bats from the large trees at the lake was fantastic. Be there at dusk."

"Great choice to stay in Tissa. The manager was a lovely man and very caring. The property is close to town and looked brand new. The room and bathroom were extra large and opulent. The breakfast cooked by the manager was magnificent."

The one staff was a great guy, so freindly and helpful, i was in the area to visit national park and he arranged this for me. Only problem with hotel is internet did not work, and no phone reception in that area either. "

It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. "We stayed here for a few days to go to Yala National Park and Hotel Elephant Eye was a great location for taking a SAFARI Tour. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very hardworking. The property is very well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Easy walk or Tuk tuk to town for restaurants and grocery stores."

"I had a great relaxing stay in Yala. The manager was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was decent size with separate shower. The breakfast was basic but tasty and lots of it. The pool was great to jump into after a long day travelling or on safari. All the jeeps will come pick up from the hotel and they can even arrange a safari for you for a reasonable rate if you dont want to do it yourself online. Theres not much around the...
