Timber Ridge Vacations from NT$20,399

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed In over the last 20+ years of frequent travel. First, there is not enough parking in the motel as it appeared many guests are living there. So you have to park in the overflow across the street, not the end of the world but not ideal. Also, upon arrival, we noticed one side of the building was completely caved in from an apparent vehicle ramming and caution taped off. Again, not earth shattering, but not a great aesthetic either. The room itself was ok but smelled like stale old milk and lingering cigarettes. The ac worked but only on eco mode so it would continuously and loudly turn itself off and on all night. Could hear the upstairs room movements as if there was no barrier at all and apparently the resident was hosting a marathon untill about 1 am both nights. The bathroom had recently been re-caulked and looked like it had been done by an amateur preschooler but it was functional. I gave an extra start because the location was good and the tv worked.

Did not like all the ad ons to the base room rate. Valet service was slow. Delivery of luggage to room took too long. Initial room AC didn't work properly so I changed rooms. Friday dinner buffet excludid a la carte ordering and did show on the on line menu. I moved to the noisy lounge for dinner. Martha's market had terrific scones and pastries. New room was quiet and amenities were fine. Beautiful scenery when walking around the resort

Beautiful scenic views and impressive renovations. The rooms are clean, spacious, and feature adjustable climate control, fresh air circulation, and a smoke‑free environment. The added room security is a nice touch. Staff members are attentive and courteous. Breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of options in a large, well‑organized space. Parking is conveniently close to the building with plenty of room between spaces. This is a second stay at Hampton Inn, Covington, Va.
