The property and room were exactly as advertised with lovely views of the castle and mountains. The staff, especially at breakfast were very attentive to the requests we had previous made regarding dietary requirements. They were friendly and informative, especially Jana. Had a lovely stay in the picturesque town of Thun.

the service was super friendly and the food was simply but excellent and vegan friendly. Only downsides were no TV programs in English and the sink in the bedroom rather than in the shower area was not really attractive

Loved this gem of a hotel! Our "family room" was perfect for the 5 of us. The room and bathroom looked very newly renovated and the beds were quite comfortable. It was also in the perfect location for our one day and night in the beautiful city of Thun. I especially loved the hostess's recommendation for places to swim and bridge jump.

Comfortable and spacious room
Very spacious room with a spacious bathroom with two sinks. Breakfast was delicious also. Beds were comfortable - we slept very well.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and my room was very clean and comfortable. I was able to leave my luggage with them when I got there in the morning and they moved them to my room when it was ready. There isn't an elevator but it was fine since I was only on the first floor. Location was great as I was able to catch the local bus right outside. I found it was very quiet - the windows are excellent in terms of keeping the traffic noise out. I would definitely stay there again. checking in/out was super easy!

Great location close to castle Thun
The young lady carried my luggage to my room. She may have trained with Arnold swartznegger. Hahaha. Great friendly staff. Quiet room. Great location with good bus service. Sunday morning walking through town was amazing not many people and the church bells echo was great.

Lovely boutique hotel in the shadow of the castle. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They offered to provide a packed breakfast because we had an early start to join the Glacier express in Zermatt

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Emmental. The staff were lovely and attentive. The location is also great, directly in the old town and only 200 meters from a practical indoor parking garage.

Gorgeous swiss/ american style chalet hotel!
Absolutely lovely hotel in a fantastic location next to old town Thun. My room had a perfect view of Thun castle which made a beautiful view to wake up to. Room was large, clean and nicely decorated. The on site restaurant was an American western theme, with a great fresh yoing vibe to it. The bar was closed due to Covid, but i can imagine it would be a great place to socialise. The burgers were amazing, and they an excellent variety of beers to choose from, ranging from, swiss, irish, british etc. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The parking is offiste at the local parkhaus, it was only a few minute walk back to the hotel. Also there is a nespresso machine for the guest which you can use at no extra cost. Only down side was i could hear a slight thrum of music still at 11pm from the restaurant below. However this was nothing too bad. Overall i was delighted by my stay i highly recommended this hotel, its magnificent! If you go to Bern or Thun stay here!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Decent restaurant with nice outside seating. It‘s not too quiet though, because of the street. But we‘ll definately go again when in the area!

Located in the center of the city near the castle. Nice, clean rooms with newer bathrooms. No elevator but they will help carry luggage. On a busy corner so request a room at the back. Good breakfast. Restaurant is “Tex Mex” so we ate elsewhere to find more traditional Swiss choices for dinner.

This is a charming hotel that has just the right amount of quirkiness to make it a fun stay. It is located on one of the busiest roundabouts in the town so there is a bit of traffic noise that does settle down after 10 PM. The hotel has a Western themed decor complete with saddles hanging on the outdoor restaurant railings. Our room was clean and nice sized. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was standard pub fare. The restaurant is the main floor of the hotel with all rooms above it. It is a bit of a walk to the train station

We spent 4 nights at this hotel, and we were very impressed with the staff welcome and general service throughout our stay at the hotel. All staff were very accommodating and helped us when we realised we had the incorrect phone charger for Switzerland. Every member of staff was efficient and friendly. We had a balcony room with a view of Schloss Thun which was lovely, we also had a view (although somewhat restricted) of the mountains which was lovely for the clear evenings. The room was clean and spacious, and was authentically Swiss which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was included, it was basic but delicious! I would recommend this hotel as the train station and sightseeing attractions are located approximately 10 minutes on foot. (With the exception of Thun castle which is located opposite). They provided a Panorama Card free of charge, for local buses and discounts to attractions in the lake Thun region. If it is your first time to Switzerland and you plan on doing a lot of day trips and visiting a lot of places. The Swiss Pass will Dave you loads of money, and I couldn’t advise it more, it it’s something you’re considering. The only downside was the roadworks going on outside the Hotel, but this didn’t particularly effect our stay. Thank you for a wonderful time, I would return to this hotel.

Our room has a great view towards the castle. All in all, we had an amazing experience and comfort during our stay except that the walls are a bit thin as we could hear people walking through the hallway.

Gutes Essen und schöne Zimmer mit Aussicht
Kleines süsses Hotel im Zentrum von Thun,mit Ausblick auf das Schloss. Die Zimmer waren stilvoll eingerichtet, die Betten sehr bequem und der Balkon gemütlich. Leider war es eher kühl im Raum( kleiner alter Heizkörper) und es war sehr ringhörig, so das man vom Nachbarzimmer fast jedes Wort verstehen konnte.Das Restaurant war mega! Das Service Personal war extrem schnell und aufmerksam. Die wissen wie Gastro funktioniert! Das Essen war sehr lecker! Könnte sein das wir wieder einmal dorthin gehen.

Zwar ein altes Hotel, die Zimmer sind aber gross und stilvoll eingerichtet. Man hört leider den Verkehr der stark befahrenen Strasse. Rezeption ist die Bar. Rechnungen fürs Zimmer werden nicht abgegeben (für much das erste Hotel überhaupt, das keinen Beleg für Zimmerbenutzung ausstellen konnte). Beim Frühstück ist eine Person am Bedienen. Weil es keine Selbstbedienung für Getränke gibt, muss sie alles selbst erledigen, wodurch es zu längeren Wartezeiten kommt

Es war sehr zentral, parkieren konnte man direkt nebenan im Parkhaus. Leider war es sehr ringhörig, auch im Zimmer. Das Zimmer sehr klein, reichte aber für eine Nacht. Das Frühstück war ok, dürfte etwas mehr Auswahl sein. Die Freundlichkeit und Motivation beim Personal war etwas mangelhaft. Die Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt und es sah nicht einladend aus, obwohl es grundsätzlich ein cooles Ambiente wäre. Den Preis nicht wert, meiner Meinung.

Accueil très souriant malgré les difficultés dues à la barrière des langues : le personnel ne maitrisait pas, pour la majorité, le Français et nous l'Allemanique ou l'Allemand. Petit déjeune au top. Il serait bon de prévoir la climatisation dans les chambres.

Gezellig klein stadshotel
Gezellig klein, historisch stadshotel met vriendelijk personeel. Goede locatie in het centrum met een groot terras. Kamer is heel klein met nauwelijks daglicht. Ook de douche is voor grote mensen een uitdaging. Ontbijt is simpel zonder warme gerechten.

Hotel familial à coté du chateau de Thoune. Nous avons été surpris des bâtiments autour de l'hotel qui sont plutôt moderne. L'accueil est agréable. La chambre spacieuse mais très chaude (pas de climatisation) mais un ventilateur mis à disposition.
