"I am Japanese. I was able to make some very good memories at Hikkaduwa. The hostel is clean and close to the beach and restaurants. I also liked the friendly staff. There is also a barber shop on site. I also got a haircut. Skills are high. thank you. I will stay this place again next time. Don't tell the Japanese people."

"Rommet var slitent. Ingen nattbord ingen klesskap eller skuffer å ha klær i. Maling flasset fra vegger, vifte i taket virket ikke. Dør til badet gikk i vranglås. Taklampen på badet blinket, ingen steder å ha toalettsaker og veldig harde senger og puter. Strandhånkle som ble levert inn ble ikke vasket så du fikk håndkle andre hadde brukt, fremdeles med sand og fukt! Møkkete gardiner og sengepynt. Mange som gikk rundt og ikke gjorde noe, med så mye arbeidskraft forvente ma at de holder ved like...

Poolen var møkkete og hadde veldig grumsete vann. Den kan ikke har blitt rengjort på veldig lenge. Det samme gjelder resten av uteområdet som kunne vært fint hvis noen ryddet opp og ga det litt kjærlighet. "We had a great stay at the hotel. Staff was very helpful and so friendly. Rooms were big and had both fan and AC. We had a room facing the road and it was quite loud bout with earplugs it was absolutely fine. Breakfast was amazing, fruit, porridge, eggs, pancakes etc. Locations was also good, away from busy crowds but only a short walk to more restaurants and shops. Pool was clean and taken care of. I would definitely recommend to stay here. "

Cons: A bit old rooms, very cold inside with no possibility of making it warmer. We are from Ukraine, and the staff was trying to talk in Russian to us, literally the whole stay. We repeated several times that we don't speak Russian and we don't understand them, but they didn't care. "
