Porto Bello Royal - All inclusive

"Disappointed to be honest. First gripe is that although the actual resort is lovely, pools maintained well and lots of them, beach is good, it is directly under the flight path and there are a LOT of flights coming in and out all day long. Room cleaning was a bit hit and miss and one of our rooms didn’t have the drinks stocked once during our 10 day stay which was annoying. Booking restaurants was a bit frustrating because you always had to go to reception, could only book 2 days ahead and the reception always took a loooong time. The food was dreadful though which is the main disappointment, didn’t have a single good meal. Selection wasn’t great and seemed like everything had been heated up from the freezer section, we ate out many times. Also frustrating when the website advertises access to the waterpark at the affiliate hotel next door but upon arrival we were told that we had to pay an entry fee and our wristbands didn’t even make us eligible for drinks on-site. Not a big deal perhaps but very misleading. It was a pleasant stay but I wouldn’t go back."

"This was a beautiful hotel and the room was stunning. Huge bathroom with separate toilet and shower cubicles. Great sea view and big balcony. Had welcome gifts of a bottle Prosecco and a bottle of red wine as well as a bottle of water with a personalised note. Staff were so friendly and helpful at every encounter even just walking around the complex. Variety of choice for food and high quality restaurants definitely worth visiting. Leaving gift of lavender before checkout again with a personalised handwritten note. All in all, a great stay"

"Room was amazing , I chose the private pool… and it was a nice size and lots of privacy ! Everyone was great , … my only frustration in paying for all inclusive yet wanting to also see the island was everything shuts down re food at 9:30 pm .. including room service etc …. Also filled first day some sodas and such in the fridge however no way to open them as it needed an opener , and key card in the slot so when you came back at end of day fridge was warm, room very warm and stuffy etc … , beautiful place"

"We spent an enjoyable week at this hotel and were very satisfied with our experience. The pools were lovely, providing a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, making our stay comfortable. The dining options were impressive, with a great selection of meals that catered to various tastes. While the sea had some waves during our visit, it was still enjoyable for swimming and beach activities. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!"
