"The room was clean and comfortable."

"Hotel was tired, dated and needed a definite facelift! Our room overlooked the back of restaurants and the wind was literally howling through our room! The shower was very lacklustre with no real power. Our room also on the slope! On the plus side the staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. They were a credit to the hotel. Would I stay here again? Sadly no."

"Even though there is significant building work being conducted this did not detract from our stay. We were attending the Royal Marines presentation of new colours at the castle and so the location was brilliant for us. The staff were helpful and the day we took breakfast in our room it was excellent."

"Great staff allowed us to check in early. Everyone was kind and polite. Breakfast excellent and staff very attentive and lots of fresh food choices. Beautiful view of Thames River and Bridge. Location is excellent with two minute walk to Castle. If flying in to Heathrow I recommend starting your trip here if you plan to visit Windsor Castle. Great small village feel close by and easy walking. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Before I start, this is a 400 year old building, full of character and creeks. I received a warm welcome and was shown to my room, not the biggest double I have stayed in. It was clean but small, not luxurious but right for the price. The bathroom was bigger and clean. The floors slope but this added to the character and very authentic. The lady at breakfast was very pleasant and made me a bacon and egg sandwich to take away - it was one of the best butties I have had - 10/10!!"
