"No working aircon (depending on who you speak to on the front desk) in 90% of the rooms, only the rooms on floor 7 (deluxe) have working aircon, and after only getting 2 hours sleep in our 30 °C temperature room, we finally got one of the rooms with working aircon, after threatening to sleep in reception, the only other place with working aircon in the building. As a bonus of moving rooms, we also got some working lights, so we felt less like moles burrowing towards the molten core of the earth. The staff are polite but powerless, or useless, depending on how you look at it. "

"My first impression was very good but when my granddaughter looked under the bed she was stunned by the amount of rubbish and food rappings that I also witnessed also crumbs of food, dust and cobwebs. Cobwebs also on the ceiling and dust on the lamps. Extractor fan in the bathroom not working. Beds very uncomfortable could feel what felt like springs. Very disappointing as never had this experience before booking with hotels.com uk & Europe. Unfortunately unable to contact anyone to complain and to resolve."

"Had to book quickly as going to event nearby and was let down. On booking says dog friendly, but only in words. Only rooms dogs can go in is the converted stables. Paid for 4 post poster and large and rundown low budget, albeit clean."

"The Pavillion was a great little hotel. Incredibly clean, small room but perfect for a nights stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice open fire in the lobby was a lovely touch also! Will definitely be returning next year. "
