"This was a great place for us to stay with our family while in town for our niece's wedding. Having the main bedroom upstairs from the rest of the house was nice to be able to break away from people when needed. Communication from the management staff was prompt and clear, and they even helped us when we needed an item we couldn't find in the house. "We recently stayed at WaterColor Inn to celebrate our anniversary and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the noise. Throughout our stay, we were kept awake by constant stomping from the room above us, furniture being moved, doors slamming, and children yelling. We spent most of our days out enjoying the area, so the primary purpose of our room was to provide a comfortable place to rest at night. Unfortunately, we got very little sleep during our stay. We also informed the front desk at check-in that we were celebrating our anniversary and were told that something special would be provided during our stay. Nothing was ever delivered or acknowledged, which was disappointing after it had been mentioned to us. Housekeeping was another area that fell short. While our bed was made daily, the sheets were never changed despite sand remaining in the bedding from our beach trips. As a result, we spent the entire stay sleeping in sandy sheets, which was uncomfortable and not what we expected from a property at this price point. The property itself is beautiful and the location is excellent, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Given the nightly rate, we expected a much higher level of comfort, attention to detail, and overall guest experience. While we rarely leave negative reviews, we felt it was important to share our experience for future guests and hope the management team takes these concerns seriously."
