「The hotel was wedged between 2 others, not a big deal but the parking lot needs repairs- potholes etc. main complaint was cleanliness of bathroom and repair needed in tub. Hair noted in tub, the faucet in tub literally fell OFF the second day.」

「Big comfortable room for a longer stay . After a long day out coming back to the hotel room felt good. Are room looked out over parking lot and neighboring buildings. Watching it rain. My wife and I really enjoyed it. The folks that worked there took care of us I highly recommend」

「Very nice place and the staff was very friendly」

「Expected to be charged a fee if you arrive before check in time. Other than that it’s a great place.」

「Good location for San Marcos outlet shopping and near some good restaurants for dinner.」

「Was a great place」

「We were having a yearly get-together of three brothers and wives. We were able to visit with all in the dining area. There were plenty of chairs with a small amount of privacy, but people walked thru and around the area. We didn't feel like it was intruding. We all had separate rooms and the hotel arranged for us to be on the same floor. Rooms were very clean, breakfast selections were good. The staff was extremely helpful and the ladies who cleaned rooms were very considerate of your needs....

However, being near a lake should not be an excuse for poor pest control or lack of cleanliness. With proper maintenance, regular cleaning, and responsible management, these issues can be minimized. A property’s location is not the problem; it’s how well the management maintains it. A beautiful lakeside property can still be clean, comfortable, and well-maintained if management simply does...
