The hotel is super unique, but the isn't much to do there. The rooms were super clean. The food is mediocre. I stayed 2 days, but I was really bored and ready to leave. The tour was okay.

Las instalaciones muy bien, la barrica no es una cabaña, es una habitacion independiente de otras con forma de barrica, creo que por eso otros review se quejan, pero muy bien en espacio, limpieza y amenidades. El personal con una excelente actitiud y con ganas de ayudar. Muy buena experiencia.

Honestamente lo mejor fue el servicio de carros de Carlos. La gente de recepción también fue linda pero la gente de Cota no es nada de amable ni lo hacen a uno sentir bien recibidos. El lugar también ocupa más atención se empieza a ver muy pero muy descuidado y la verdad no vale el dinero por noche.

The hotel felt safe and clean. It was a great experience except for the mosquitos. There was only one restaurant in the property and ubers would not go up to the property so you have to get a taxi but the taxis came quick

Our stay at Matices was a fun and unique experience. We stayed for just one night after visiting Tequila and it was a great end to a long day. The hotel is just out of the way of the main area in the center area of the city. It feels a bit out of the way but security was excellent a taxi will cost you about $5. The check in was easy and we were greeted with tequila shots and water, just what we needed. The room itself was clean and fresh. The AC worked great and the room had plenty of amenities including a mini fridge with plenty to drink. The room was adorable, I loved the patio area in the morning light. Breakfast was not included for us since I booked via Expedia but we ate at their restaurant and the food was delicious and inexpensive. I would definitely stay again if I return to Tequila.

Our favorite stay during our Mexico visit. This is a must stay for those who like history and eclectic adventures. The staff was exceptional and friendly. We participated in the Tequila tour and learned a lot about our favorite drink. The property is clean and quiet. We were able to walk the grounds freely and enjoy the ducks and ambiance. We felt safe and welcome. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the restaurants. Will recommend to friends and family who would like to visit Tequila, Jalisco!!!

I had the best experience visiting Matices! The place is gorgeous one of a kind and everyone was so nice, courteous and friendly. I love the free Tequila tasting and the free tour of the place. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Tequila Jalisco!

This is a cute place and is a working tequila factory. The Barricas are instagram worthy but for the cost of the stay you would expect a better bed, wifi (they have it but it’s really bad that you’re better off not using it. The speed is like 3 mb down and 6 up.) the grounds need more and better upkeep. The complimentary tequila tour was the highlight and the underground cave restaurant. Food and service was delicious. I would not buy their tequila their because it can be purchased online for 40% less.

A very unique experience! Loved the hotel. The walkways are a little bumpy because of the stone but it’s all part of the experience. Staff was so so nice.

No AC in the pods at 105 degrees
They kept giving us rooms with broken ACs. Terrible as we wasted our time during a single night stay. It was a 105 degrees in those pods with no AC, the AC guy would work on it and ask us to wait 30min, did it for 3 times and 3 different rooms.

Beautiful place to stay but getting a Uber driver is impossible. Reception is not great and the AC isn’t the best. But it’s a beautiful experience you should try it once.

I arrived around 10pm, people in reception was very gently. Room was nice but the bathroom was a mess, no hot water until next morning after reported two times. The environment is phenomenal but per the price all amenities should work perfectly.
