They also stored our luggage for us when we went out to explore town. The hotel is a heritage Dutch colonial house, and we appreciated the rich history this place preserves."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony.
