"The Kingsgate in Te Anau is conveniently located within reasonable walking distance of downtown. However, there is NO ELEVATOR (we were on 2nd floor!) and NO AIR CONDITIONING!! The hotel appears to be old and, although in fairly good condition, the lack of an Elevator & Air Conditioner were significant inconveniences. Also, their parking spaces are quite limited -- we were advised by the Front Desk Staff that if we drove our vehicle to dinner, we would most likely NOT be able to find a parking spot when we returned and would have to park wherever we could find a space along the street! If we were to return to Te Anau, I would choose to stay elsewhere!"

"Park was good, clean tidy cabins, no free internet as advertised over our 2 night stay, staff said to many users. Please dont advertise free wifi if you cant deliver. In places the ground wasnt level so it was dangerous at night when walking to ablution block"

"It is a nice caravan site. It is nicely centrally located in Te Anau, making it easy to walk anywhere you need. Would recommend if staying overnight in the area, it does the job. "

"I enjoyed my stay in Te Anau overall, but I wanted to mention a small issue. When I entered the room, the bathroom window was open, so some insects like moths and crane flies had come inside. It wasn’t a huge problem, but I think it would be better if the staff checked the windows before guests arrive. Just wanted to let you know for the future!"
