  • This was taken at the Kea Point lookout at Mt Cook National Park. It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The Muller Glacier down the bottom definitely gave the image a good colour contrast as well.

  • If you can afford it, I recommend splurging on a helicopter flight or fixed wing plane ride to Milford from Queenstown or Wanaka. The views of Fiordland from above are unbeatable.

The bed is comfy and clean , the kitchen is huge, and the toilets and bathrooms are sanitized. Also, there are a lot of parking spaces.

The code they provided for the front door didn’t work so coming in and out of the hostel after hours was stressful. The kitchen area was quite dirty. Otherwise my room and the shared restrooms were clean.

Awesome location

The location is awesome. Bar and restaurant is very close. There is a quiet and beautiful park is right next hostel. The atmosphere in hostel is very warm. It’s worth to live it.

Good value

Great price, great location. Kitchen is not as clean as when this property was a YHA. It has lost some of its friendly vibe since then. When the other places cost twice as much, stay here.

Great check-in with very enthusiastic staff. Our room was fine, a little dated as you might expect in this type of property but clean and comfortable. There was a problem with drains on the first day, but this was quickly resolved - presumably a result of the property only recently reopening. The communal facilities were good with a great kitchen to use. The property is close to the centre of Te Anau where there are a number of good dining options if you want to eat out, and also a good supermarket.

立地がよく快適なホステル

バスの発着場所、テ・アナウ湖からとても近く、観光には大変便利なところにあります。チェックイン、チェックアウトもスムーズで、バスの出発まで荷物を預かっていただけました。建物は古いですが、よくメンテされていると感じました。キッチンも広く清潔でした。シングルルームに泊まりましたが、静かで、よく眠れました。ただ1点だけ、枕カバーがあると良かったです。それ以外は完璧です。
