We loved the room. It was very comfortable, had several amenities, shower head was strong and very hot. The bed was very comfortable and we especially enjoyed having 2 chairs and a couch to relax on. It was also nice to have a t.v when reading became tiring. Mary and Ian were very gracious hosts. They welcomed us, let us check in late, and provided delicious breakfasts every morning. And, they were a fund of knowledge about the local scene and activities we could engage in. The location of the Loft is close to Taupo but just a little enough removed to be a peaceful and quiet retreat.

The Loft was a wonderful stop for us during our 3 week tour of New Zealand. The accommodations were top notch and the area is lovely. Mary and Ian made us feel at home and I highly recommend their B&B. You wont be disappointed!

A five star rating. Have been to Taupo many times so we wanted to stay in Acacia Bay this time so it was great as the Bay Bar & Brasserie was only a 400 metre walk. Room, breakfast and hosts were fantastic.

We felt welcomed. The property is in a nice, quiet location. The room was very comfortable with en-suite bathroom. Tea and coffee provisions were on the landing area. Within walking distance of shop, garden centre and bar/brasserie. A few kilometres from Taupo so transport required (not sure about public transport). Mary and Ian are great hosts, we hIghly recommended staying at ‘The Loft’ and we would visit again!

Enjoyable stay!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Loft. Mary and Ian were genuinely friendly and provided good information about the local area. Our room was nicely decorated. Mary provided a cooked breakfast along with the continental provisions. Our room was absolutely clean.
