Let Yourself In.

Surf Side Retreat is a house that has been divided into four self contained apartments. We needed an overnight stay close to Old Bar to visit a family member who doesn't have space to put us up. We turned up around 4.00pm and directions were given by a card on the front door. I had tried to research this property but the website was not working. Found a set of stairs to second level which was not so easy to negotiate for oldies like us. Room was clean and comfortable, wifi was good, TV was tiny but OK. Made a cup of tea but anything else would have been tricky with the microwave at ground level. Went visiting and out for dinner. On our return, found that all the onsite parking was taken so we parked on the street. Left around 9.00am and had we been two minutes earlier, would have missed the manager, who introduced herself as we were packing the car. Probably would not stay here again because of the stairs, the parking and the impersonal approach. Also, a bit overpriced, I thought.
