This is an excellent hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room faced the sea and the view was absolutely beautiful. The Eggs Benedict breakfast on our balcony was of my favorite things we did and it was delicious. Also, it was very relaxing having drinks in the bar, looking at the sea every evening before going out. The location in the town is perfect. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

The property was beautiful and in a great location. Breakfast was very good and the cleaning people were wonderful. My only complaint is with the front desk staff. There were two occasions where the person I was speaking with took off when they saw another guest, basically while helping me, and told me a colleague would assist. I’ve never experienced that in a hotel before. Most of the time the staff were wonderful. The hotel should make it clear how you are to get to the lobby when you get dropped off at parking m, which is 4 floors it so below the lobby. The elevator is locked. It should be clear where a bell is so you can find your way and not be stuck. My cab driver called the hotel but my son’s did not so he called me and I had to tell the front desk he needed to get in. Views of the surrounding area are great from the bar and room

You stay there because of the view and central location. Huge price tab of a Ritz or Four Seasons without the customer service.... Staff is not terribly helpful at times. We asked for a "Do Not Disturb" sign for bedroom several times. Crickets. We asked to change a large Euro bill. Crickets. We asked for a late checkout for one of our several rooms. Nope. But the view is stunning!

You could not change the temperature of the air in your own room. You had to call the front desk and ask them. The staff provided recommendations for Restaurants that were closed. Check-in took forever and argued with me that I booked two separate reservations even when I showed them my booking confirmation. Nothing about this stay showed as a Luxury 5 Star experience.

Staying at the Metropole Hotel was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and extremely helpful.
