「Friendly staff, comfortable room, very spacious」

「The building and grounds here are absolutely beautiful. It's clearly been a wonderful place to stay at some point. Having said that, our trip was generally very disappointing. We arrived in the evening, and there were no staff at all to be seen. There was a bar open, with music playing, and no staff. A sign noted to call a mobile number for help. The first number rang out repeatedly. On a second call, a person answered and seemed confused about whether any staff remained at the hotel. Eventually...

Die Zahnputzbecher waren total dreckig, die Duschamatur sichtbar grünlich keimig am Rand, die Halterung für das Duschzeug total verrostet. Das Zimmer hat keinen Kühlschrank und wird sehr warm, trotz offenem Fenster. Es gibt keinen Kühlschrank und keinen Fahrstuhl. Das Frühstück ist typisch englisch und schmeckt; es ist jeden Tag gleich.」
