"A very beautiful heritage property that oozes class. We had a king room in the newer Viceroy annex. Really huge room overlooking the sea. The staff are really friendly and helpful the entire stay. Great buffet breakfast in Sarkeys - huge choice of hot and cold food including freshly made noodles and eggs according to your choice. We really enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast as the main room gets a bit noisy . The only negative was we found it a bit odd that they clear breakfast up 20 minutes before closing time so that's a bit of a rush and unusual for a hotel to do that. But apart from that great breakfast. For a smaller choice but for a more pampered breakfast The Planter is a nice alternative. Very attentive staff there. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and seats. Never crowded. However the time of booking it should be mentioned that you can't use the big main pool in the Heritage wing unless you're staying in that side which was a shame. Fantastic location near all the main tourist sites and restaurants. Grab taxis are suoer cheap by the way. Overall loved it."

"Property is fantastic, new and clean rooms. Breakfast was very disappointing as it’s not really a hotel breakfast and you’re limited to the quantity as well. If you are looking to walk and explore the George Town area you will be disappointed as it’s a bit far and would need to take a taxi. Overall decent place if your visiting but not very convenient location to the action "

"You get what you expect from Marriott. At least I did. I was there for work hence it worked for me. Would I go back for leisure but I may also look at other options which is in the neighborhood for the price range. That said they delivered what a Marriott is expected to deliver."

"Arrived at the hotel at about 5 pm and was attended to by Staff Rimon at the counter, he is exceptionally welcoming and therefore making my check in especially pleasant. As I had make the booking just a day ago and it seems that the booking has not reflected yet in the system, he kindly explained to me and assured me that it would not be an issue. Additionally as my return flight is pretty late, he also try to accommodate my request for late check out as well as a high floor unit. The hotel also had a shuttle bus that operates in the evening to the nearby Queensbay mall and Rimon as well kindly did a reservation for me to and fro just to make sure that I have a seat on the shuttle. From the hotel is about a 15 minutes drive on the shuttle to the mall :). Just outside the hotels, there are stretches and plenty of food places. My stay here has been exceptionally pleasant and felt very welcoming especially because of Rimon, it nice to see him at the counter with his alway wide and warm welcoming smile :) The hotel booked is a family unit and is 94 sqm in size. It has a nice view of Penang island and that it has 2 bedrooms with 2 bathroom as well as a study room. It comes with also a balcony and also a living and dining area. Both of the bedrooms window have very good city view. We also managed to catch some fireworks on the night of the 28 June :). The decoration of the executive family suites is very modern and it really have the feel of home :). "
