Seems like a family owned and run place. Off peak season when I visited and the public Onsen essentially became a private one. No locals seen, only foreigners guests
The hotel’s meals are good, we stayed for 2 nights and they offered different kind of Japanese cuisine on different days. The onsen is good, they provide private onsen for use where you could pick the key and use for 1 hour. I enjoyed the public onsen all by myself and kids during my 2 days stay.
The hot spring is good, very quiet place, the location is good. But they didn’t offer dinner if you didn’t order in advance, the hotel is a bit old, but it is clean and in good condition
We felt like we were the only ones at the hotel even though it stated fully booked! Rooms are super large for Japan standard, very clean & tidy.Be prepared for a very basic futon on floor which was disappointing as it was not comfortable (doona was), if they improved the bed ie thicker futon it would have been an awesome stay as everything else really great (heating perfect). Private onsen really sweet. No fiod on site but restaurants closeby. Location excellent for bus station -make sure you try the restaurant on the corner near hotel (between hotel & station) as generous serving (large size), great food!!
It’s a small onsen hotel. Nothing fancy but it has most facilities that you need. There are only 2 staff I had seen throughout 2 days we stayed. The good thing is the location is very convenient and travellers can take buses to nearby ski resort or sightseeing areas. My family enjoyed the private hotspring.
