We’ve had a good stay at Sonnien hotel. The only downside is the speed of internet is too slow. We love the friendly staff and convenience of the location.

I didn’t really have a chance to enjoy the property. I came in after midnight and left at by 8 in the morning. The staff that greeted at midnight was warm and pleasant. The room was great.

Large rooms, good breakfast buffet, great staff. Only issue on my 3rd stay during my month in taipei is the 10th flr room had some low machine noise during the entire night. Front desk lady thought it may be the hvac equipment on the roof. Best to get a room below the 9th floor.

Good value for the price. Large room, good breakfast buffet, quiet part of Daan district, not too far from the busier areas. If they had a microwave in the room, i’d book it for longer stays

Rooms are good sized, neighborhood is quiet, hotel is in good condition, breakfast is good. Only issues are (1) bit of a way from the major shopping/dining areas, (2) lack of amenities (no gym, no meeting room or business lounge). However, good value for the price.

Rooms are large and clean. Neighborhood is quiet but a bit away from shopping and nightlife. Hotel seems understaffed—-maid did not clean our room. Front desk staff gave us clean towels and took away garbage and he was only person on duty at the time (9pm). But price of hotel is reasonable

the room size and location are good; service are good, but the pillows are too soft for me and there is odor in both rooms we check in with friend, one of which are cigarette smell, the other one are just unpleasant smell;

Everything was great except there was a noise all night from somewhere outside the room, somewhat similar to busy tone on the phone or a truck backward-moving alarm. The sound's vibration resonated with the bed, making it hard to sleep at night.

We enjoyed our stay! I just find the bedroom small relative to it’s bathroom but I love the shower! Breakfast is just alright, should improve on this. Overall stay is fantastic though, service is great!

A home close to home
Visiting family in Taipei and needed a hotel last-minute for me within walking distance from the hotel. This place was one block away and right next to a police station so I feel extremely safe by myself. The clerks were polite and friendly and everything in the hotel is clean and functional. The place doesn't have a whole lot of character but if you need a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay this is just perfect.

overall ok but super inflexible.
front desk is manned by deadwood who are inflexible, e.g. we wanted to have a quick bite at the small breakfast area 10 mins before breakfast start time (7am) bec of early flight and rush to airport, most food is ready on the breakfast trays but manager said rule says only 7am sharp can start breakfast.

Clean and convenient!
I stayed twice in this hotel and was surprised to be given a smaller room this time. My first stay was booked directly with the hotel which could have been the reason. Nevertheless, the room was comfortable with the necessary amenities.
