Great value at this hostel. It has a nice hang out area in the basement. Beds are comfy with privacy blinds and USB-C charging on top of a plug. My only wish would be that I didn’t have to go through the lobby to get to the showers.

Friendly staff
Extremely friendly staff :) Very comfortable bed Only downside is some equipment are a bit worn but overall is not bad.

We checked in late at night, but the service we had from both staff weren't very helpful at all. The room space is small, and the toilets are not clean. It has a large common room but it has a strange smell In general it hasn't been a very comfortable experience

Front desk staff was pretty incompetent when checking me in. Room was cramped and the showers are far from the rooms. This place would be OK for a one night stay but I wouldn't recommend staying longer. Just my opinion.

i have request late checked in, then the properties has told will provide the entrance pin number. But until the checked in date i also didn't get respond from them. So when i board to flight i just get the hostel inform that they need charged my card b4 they release the entrance pin number. And the credit card provide early got problem. i just wonder if the procedure like that, they should informed me early and tried the payment few days b4 my flight to avoid the incident happen. i was disappointing on the whole arrangement and found the staff is not friendly to me. Beside that, the location of the hostel is good and nearby got many food stall and only 200m walking distance to metro station. Room are cozy and the storage area is not suitable for medium and big size lugagge.

The conditions were a bit lacking. The bathroom in the B Section was absolutely disgusting. The shower in the main part was so much cleaner. I have not seen the A section rooms, but B section was not something I would recommend or stay again. The bed was okay, but the walls were dirty. The room divider was also more of a window blind and did nothing to actually section off a bed. Good common area. Overall, I would not recommend it, but the staff was VERY nice.

Good Value And Location.
It was a family trip and our stay at Duckstay Hotels was fine. It was an accessible location and easy to go around Taipei. I recommend it for those who don't mind sharing a room with other guests.

Nice build in bunk bed.
The location is pretty good for traveler without a car. It's close to the MRT stn exit 3. Shered toilet and shower room but they're separated so quite happy with this. I've traveled some countries and sometimes i saw a shower with a toilet. I don't like it because when you go toilet the seat is wet and you don't feel good. in that point I like this hotel. I stayed shared room with8 and it was bunk bed but it was built in bed so i didn't feel any noise or vibration from upfloor. It was excellent. All of the receptionist were nice and kind.

Overall is good but need more improvements in
Bathroom is far away from the bedroom and washroom. We need to across the main lobby and stairs to bathroom and they didnt keep the lights on for traveller maybe due to energy saving but I think it's kinda unsafe to walk in dark moreover the bathroom is far away from bedroom. Washroom for male and female is not really separated. Not sure how they secure single female travellers. Other than that the facility is good and complete. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

Clean, friendly and terrifically located.
This hostel was incredibly clean and very well located just a few blocks from the Longshan metro station. All of the staff spoke at least enough English to answer basic questions about the facility. The air conditioning in the rooms and lounge area was very effective (a much welcomed experience given the heat of Taipei in August). The use of security cards to access rooms, lockers and the lounge at the hostel really made me feel safe and comfortable leaving some of my valuables there. I would absolutely stay here again ! It was a fantastic hostel, especially for the price.

Great service! Except bed is a bit hard and you can hear noise outside the room and shutting /opening of doors next doors. Advised to wear ear pieces. Overall v clean

Disappointing
I've read positive reviews and even online article recommended therefore I chose to stay here instead of looking for other hostel in Taipei. Truth is, I'm quite disappointed. The bathroom is located one floor down, separated from the washroom which is so inconvenient. Although there is notice shows that the male and female washroom is different, yet all the washroom is together without any board or wall that clearly separated it. The 'simple' basin design is rather gross. Backpackers should bring your own indoor shoes/slippers as they are not providing one and you had to pass through the lobby to get to the bathroom and common area (underground floor) which everyone had stepped on the lobby floor with their shoes so it's not that clean, but not too dirty so if you don't mind too much about hygienic problem then it's pretty fine.

Great first hostel experience
The hostel is about 5-10mins away from Longshan MRT. The room was a little small, even though my group of 6 stayed in an 8-bed room. The beds were comfortable, no issues with the spacious locker/ wifi/ charging points/ bed lights. Really appreciated the very cool common lounge area - comfortable sofas and spacious, great for hanging out in groups. Toilets are well-maintained, good showers with hot water. Only was a little uncomfortable because both males and females share a common toilet, though there weren't any major issues. Overall a great experience. Love the overall feel and decor of the place.

its nice for backpacker to stay and sleep,near a subway station and 7-11. the staff are nice and helpful . actually have a expectations for the art and culture part (because they have a big board to show exhibition date and a place for talk) but when I arrived there, it seems not used and no update

Good for short jaunts
I chose this hostel because my usual place was booked solid during my vacation period. The design of the place is nice, but it wasn't comfortable for the amount of time I was staying. The rooms get very crowded at certain times along with the sinks near the bathroom. Also, the neighborhood the hostel is located in is quite run-down so keep this in mind when traveling. It's not unsafe, but there is some shady activity that goes on in the area especially around the evening. The curtains for the cubicles are nice and block out light effectively, but, at least for my room, there was a humidity that just wouldn't go away and made things uncomfortable as I slept. The beds are good enough for overnight stays or for a couple of days, but definitely wore on me as I was spending eleven nights there. The staff were friendly and helpful if you needed them. Probably the best part is the proximity to Ximending district if you enjoy eating and shopping. It's a 15 minute or so walk along Kunming Street right into the district or one MRT stop away from the nearby Longshan Temple station. Overall, I can't recommend this place at all for extended stays.

New hostel and kind staff!
Very kind staff but some of them cannot speak English. Facility is new and clean. good interior. but sheet doesn't feel very clean. shower room and restaurant/lobby are on basement. need to go down. limited check in and out time, not 24hrs. cannot check in and out at night/dawn.

Nice stay
It was a nice stay with a helpful staff, clean room and bathroom. WiFi connection is good and have a nice public space (even got pool table). The interior is nicely decorated, very artsy and suitable for youngsters. The location is near Longshan temple, and only 5 minutes walk to MRT station. One thing tho, lights in the toilet are often turned off in the evening, but it's not pitch dark, so still manage to take a bath. In overall, it is a nice place to stay.

Die Lage war top!! Es gibt an der Unterkunft nichts auszusetzen. Nur die Steckdosen sind leider nicht für internationale Gäste ausgerichtet, da benötigt man leider einen Adapter den ich nicht dabei hatte. Ansonsten kann ich die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.
