A very spacious room with nice beds. However, it smelled old cigarette especially in bed though it was a non smoking room. It may be the only thing that will stop me from staying there again. Basic breakfast, better save your stomach for good food outside of the hotel. Very convenient location and safe neighbourhood.

Very good location and clean place to stay
Very good location - right next to Exit 5 of Taipei Arena MRT Station making it very easy for me to commute to busy (and expensive) areas in Taipei like Xinyi/City Hall/101 as well as bustling Ximen areas... also it was pretty quiet and honestly very clean (at least for the room since I only stayed for a night). Breakfast is so so but only NTD330.

Shower water temperature would fluctuate between hot and cold during a shower. Toilet not properly flush. Room A/C not adjust well. room was too small for the price.

Overrun with people across the straits
Room was old, smelt like it had smoked get in a non smoking room, air cond was not holding constant temperature. They tell you that breakfast has no capacity because all the people from across the straits need to eat first and you can't eat when breakfast opens. Was also given a room without a view and told there are no rooms with. Window. That was not true as I had stayed there before.

Room is smaller than the other Capital hotel which I stayed in my last visit,there is only Drawer available inside the hotel room, that is not enough.

Just okay
Checking in was fast and simple. Entering the rooms, it was okay at first sight but I thought they could have been improved to made more up to date. The wallpapers, carpet and tiles looked a little dirty and unfortunately we found some bugs in the washroom. A few things, we liked was the 110v outlets (but the locations of the outlets were oddly placed), the complimentary breakfast, and that the hotel was right next to the Taipei arena station.

We stay in this hotel for six days, location are very good, but the front desk manager was unprofessional, calling me at 11:00 pm at night, six days stay sheet never change, carpet are very dirty.

Half closed your eyes then it's a good one
Room is not so clean, but shower water is wonderful. Nearby neighborhood is convenient , lots of restaurants including famous Chinese bun restaurant (Dien-suei-lou). Breakfast seating area is limited, had to wait or share table. In-room air conditioning is good.

Excellent location and reasonable price
Location is excellent, your "BED" is just 200 walking steps away from the MTR exit, you will find it extreme important when you are returning from a exhausted trip. Breakfast is nice, especially the coffee maker, I am sure it won't let you down. However, one fatal defect is that when we made our room reservation through Expedia.com.hk, it was WRITTEN that the room area was 30 sq. m., however, what we finally had was just a room of less than 20 sq. m. I think this problem was on Expedia.com.hk, the hotel staff was polite and helpful, they explained that our reservation was just for a standard room of 20 sq. m. only.

Good value in a convenient location
Got upgraded to a family room with 2 double beds. The room was spacious and had all the facilities as advertised. The beds were comfy and clean, though the TV did not have the best reception with a malfunctioning remote control. Otherwise, friendly service and a good location to stay if proximity to the arena is a must.

Good clean business hotel for short stay.
This is a business oriented small hotel. It's clean & quite. For the price you paid it's pretty good. The breakfast buffets are surprisingly delicious.

Great Hotel
Great location, great service, great value for money. With the upcoming Train station opening end 2013 situated right below, it'll be an even better choice of stay. Concert goers who are visiting Taipei Arena for concerts can choose to stay here too, going to and fro from the concert hall takes less than 5min or walking time.

Reasonable Business Option
The Hondo Hotel is off the beaten path for most "downtown" hotel properties. Although the room itself was comfortable, there was cause for concern from a business perspective. Upon arrival, there was a sign indicating the internet access would be spotty. This was correct and very inconsistent, and marginally acceptable for maintaining communications. My Apple MacAir notebook only connects wirelessly and the available routers were inconsistent and weak. Hotel offered ethernet (hard wired) connections but my system does not have this port. Included breakfast was nice but very crowded. Everyone seemed to take advantage of this option which made for a hectic solution. Otherwise, comfort and quiet were the strong points for this reasonably priced option.

overall, our 10-day stay at the hotel was satisfactory. The front desk staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The Chinese-style breakfast had a variety of foods, with an emphasis on vegetables. We stayed in two different rooms; both were of good size and clean. The hotel is about 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. It is located at a busy intersection, which offers both convenience and noise.
