The hotel is very close with the street. It is very noisy during the night. The room is too old. The restroom is horrible.

CJ Hotel is well located 5 mins walk from Beimen station, and 12 mins walk from the Airport Rail. Convenient places to eat less than 5 mins walk away. Some of them 24hours, some of them open till late. Chek in and out process is east. Can contact the hotel by Line app. Aircon, bed, and TV was more than sufficient, although the mattress was a little on the stiff side. However, the "kitchenette" sink and bath room has a little mildew smell. Free self service to bottled water and other amenities on the 2nd floor. Entrance to the building and elevator is vis RFID tag, and entry to the room is by a digital lock with pin code. Will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Taipei.

這旅宿已更名作「初見輕旅」，不再是Hotels.com上所示的舊名字「囍門旅店」。 新老闆待客用心，有些房間都翻修過，整體而言也算是整潔。 老闆在入住之前會提早跟我聯繫，瞭解我的需要，並為這些需要做安排。 比如我這回住宿的日子比較長，她特別為我調配了有陽台的房間，方便我洗衣服及晾衣服。 住宿期間，台北的氣溫急降，她又會用通訊軟件問我們夠不夠保暖，並且為我們調校熱水器的水溫，以應付寒冬。 旅宿的房間是位於一幢大樓之內，分佈於很多樓層。每個房間其實就是一個大樓裏的開放式居室。所以，你有可能隔壁住着其他民居的住戶。隔音很好，基本上我還以為沒有鄰居的喔。 住宿期間，碰上一次地震，是餘震，半夜時分，維持了幾秒。身處大樓，會感到大樓在搖晃。然而，常常有地震的地方，建屋也就是特別有處理，那幾秒搖晃，過後就一點事也沒有，可見大樓真的防震啊。 說到交通，其實也算便利，公車站、捷運站，只是五至十分鐘腳程就到。附近的街區，也幾家賣牛肉麵（真的，全都是牛肉麵，集中在一起，令你以為是「主題街」），又便宜又好吃。要吃好一點的，附近有晚晚排長龍的旺角火煱，而走五分鐘左右，就到新光三越的街區，撫遠街等等小街，咖啡店、早餐店，一應俱全。不愁吃啊。 唯一希望考慮一下改一改房內的桌椅。 我原以為用高桌和坐高腳椅會蠻有趣的，但發現住的天數越長，坐高腳椅和用高桌真的很不舒服。如果房間有正常高度的桌子和椅子就好了。

Convenient Place to Stay.
The property is in a convenient location from Beimen and Ximen stations. We enjoyed Ximen area a lot. Would like to stay again here on our next visit to Taipei.

Good budget family stay
We are travelling with two young children and stayed for 4 nights. - Reasonable price for a decent size family room in Taipei city. - There isn’t any shops close by. However, the nearest convenient stores and restaurants are only 2-3 mins walk. - Walkable distance to Beimen Station (Approx. 5mins) or 15-20 mins walk to Taipei main station or Ximen Station. - There’s a washing machine in each room which is really convenient; however, the drying function of the machine wasn’t working well. We still need to take the half-dry clothes to a nearby (about 7mins walk) Self-service laundrette to dry our laundry. - The staff would not clean the room unless was asked to. - Guests need to empty their own bins and bring the rubbliah downstairs. New bin bags, toiletries, water and etc can be obtained freely from the reception. Overall, it was a good budget stay.

The place is a bit older and not very well maintained. The washroom and kitchen could be cleaner. The upstairs is fine and living room area is fine. There was an empty water bottle under the tv left from before and it was still there after housekeeping came by for us.

Dislike: There was no water one morning and we had an appointment by 8am. Housekeeping was not done properly. (looks like no cleaning was done.) There are still tissue on the floors and the lavatory was not cleaned. Bed sheets was not replaced. We requested this on the 2nd day. Like: Bottled water, personal hygiene kits, coffee are available in the reception. Receptionist let us borrowed umbrellas. Helpful. Wifi is good.

Front desk help was so nice and accommodating. Additionally, sports center was a block away and my children and I had access to great indoor pool and spa during our stay. It is basic but really was happy we stayed there.

We booked a room for 4 and it was spacious with all basic necessities. The room even came with a washer/dryer for clothes. Ximending shopping district is within walking distance from the apartment.

Air conditioning not working
Everything was good about the room, only the air conditioning not working! Imagine I stay 4 nights with sweat. Had complained to counter but stil the same. 😭😭😭

Sorry for the trouble, but there is new air-conditioning in the room. The air-conditioning you mentioned is old because the room has two air conditioners.
