When my husband and I checked in the hotel, the front desk could not locate my name in their system for our hotel booking. Then, I showed the booking confirmation email with Expedia. They still couldn’t find my booking and requested me to show another confirmation. I said the Expedia confirmation was good enough for all other hotels in Taiwan that I stayed and this was the only proof I had. They then asked me to show proof of payment which I did. The receipt was still not satisfied as it didn’t show the payment with the hotel when I booked through Expedia. Finally they found my booking on a piece of paper instead of their system. They processed the check in. None of the staff said any apology to us at all. I found this was rude when we had to go through the frustration that the hotel misplaced our reservation.
