We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Taghazout from April 16 to 23 for a family vacation. The resort has a beautiful setting, great room comfort, appealing architecture, and a prime beachfront location. We enjoyed the amenities, especially Pilates sessions with Suliman. Room cleaning was also good.
Unfortunately, the experience was undermined by poor service and hygiene concerns. The check-in was chaotic, with no updates or welcome information, leaving us frustrated. Most staff struggled with communication and appeared poorly trained.
The towel and sunbed management at the pool was disorganized, with us being wrongly accused of hoarding towels. The heated pool was cold, and the sides were slippery, creating a safety hazard.
The buffet was inconsistent, and hygiene was questionable. Four of our group fell ill, and we overheard other guests with similar complaints. The live food stands were a good idea, but the staff was too slow, making the experience frustrating. Also, no kids' food section in the buffet, which is unusual for a family-friendly hotel.
The kids' activity with inflatables was fun, but it lasted only an hour instead of the promised three hours.
Overall, the service level is far below what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Management needs to address these issues urgently.
