Pleasant hotel stay

Hotel Monticello is one of the nicest hotels in Tagaytay. Because it's new, the room condition is much better than the other hotels in Tagaytay and it's relatively cheaper too. However, there are things that need improvement like poor wifi connection, breakfast selection is limited and seemed like leftovers from previous day, massage not yet operational

Didn't have the one thing I asked for

I filtered the selection to rooms with bath tubs. I even put it in the remarks section before check in. I only found out that there's no bath tub upon entering the room. The room also reeked of bleach. Bath shampoo at gel containers won't dispense properly. Shower will only work if full pressure.

Was advised on expedia that a room could occupy up to 3 persons. On check in, was made aware that there would be an additional fee for 3rd person. This should have been made more clear during booking.

When we had problems with our room such as broken safe, metal towel holder in bathroom fell, requests for more towels, the staff responded quickly. Although the hotel lobby smelled pleasant like a spa, the corridor outside our room and inside our room smelled like sewage.The brunch options were okay, had many options, but if you did not get there early you risk not having anything to eat because they do not refill anything.One of the main reasons my family chose to stay at this hotel to attend a wedding is because they were the only Hotel who would for a fee, arrange transportation from the airport.

The location is good and the room, bathroom, and hotel are quite spacious. Although clean, the facilities are not quite of a higher quality and the towels were threadbare and have seen better days. The cable box looked crudely installed to the tv monitor and I had initial trouble getting a connection as was the wifi. However, service was prompt and the problems (cable connection and wifi) were fixed.

Not flexible in check out. We called the front desk to request a bit late check out but the receptionist said its not allowed. They should not put that late check out can be requested to the front desk if it's not allowed

Still one of the best hotels to stay in Tagaytay: Why? 1. Along the main road but maintains a private and quiet setting 2. Spacious parking, a blessing since this area has hotels with limited spaces 3. Nice smelling, clean rooms 4. Good breakfast buffet with lots of options 5. Well-trained staff 6. Warm pool! 7. Access for PWD is available Second time and will be back for the next. Book via Expedia, better value here. 😊

Staff were very helpful! I had problems with storing my expressed breastmilk in other local hotels the pas few months, but here they gladly stored it for me in their freezer, together with my ice packs! Bed was very comfy too! Even though we did Not get a lake view room, the experience was nice!
