"Conrad Bali serves as a premier sanctuary for travelers seeking a reprieve from the congestion and clamor of Bali’s more saturated tourist districts, such as the Ubud Market area. The resort’s primary distinction is its exceptional staff, whose commitment to sincere hospitality is evident from arrival through departure. While the property generally maintains high standards of cleanliness, the expansive interconnected pool requires more consistent maintenance—specifically the isolated section accessible via the left side of the sandy lagoon entrance. Furthermore, while the breakfast buffet provides a commendable variety, the culinary experience would be further elevated by a more diverse selection of desserts and a broader assortment of fresh seasonal fruits."
"I had a fabulous stay at Merusaka. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely throughout. My room was beautiful, and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything spotless each day.
I really appreciated the option of an à la carte breakfast — the food was freshly prepared and the setting felt calm and relaxed. In contrast, the main buffet restaurant was quite crowded, and the variety and quality didn’t quite meet expectations. There were also a noticeable number of flies around the food.
That aside, the grounds are stunning and the resort offers a great range of facilities, making it an overall enjoyable stay."
"A simple, budget-friendly hotel that has everything you need for a short stay. It’s a convenient place to stop and freshen up before a flight, and the free shuttle service was a great bonus that we really appreciated. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
That said, the hotel is generally quite worn down, and the rooms could definitely do with some modernising. We also noticed ants in the water that was provided, which was disappointing.
Overall, it’s a practical option if you’re looking for something affordable and convenient, but don’t expect anything too polished."
