Location: Excellent, on Ortigia island but close to mainland. Near open air market & many good restaurants. Facilities: Common areas are superb & luxurious. Room is OK, not great. Bathroom too small, especially shower, which also leaks after each use. Service: At breakfast, service is excellent. Housekeeping is OK, sometimes good, sometimes a bit off. Food: Judging from breakfast, restaurant probably very good. In conclusion: If the bathroom was larger and better, it would truly be a 5-star experience, otherwise I feel it's only 4-star.

The hotel is superbly comfortable and the staff have been attentive yo the needs of guests. The building is unique and has preserved it’s original features without compromising comfort. Breakfast staff members have been both very kind to me and to my little dog (thank you, Frderica). Talking about my dog, he loved the room and the bed. I cannot wait to return.

Anna checked in with me before we arrived. She upgraded our room and provided us with tips on how to get around the neighborhood. Had a great dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Food, atmosphere and service was top notch. Concetta gave us a great check out experience. This hotel is very modern and updated. It’s very close to the old town for eating drinking and shopping.

We had such a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were always welcoming and treated us so well. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was located in an excellent location: bus to airport was a 10min walk away; bars, restaurants and shops just a short stroll; it was also very quiet so not disturbed at all. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Syracuse

This is a lovely hotel, with an exceptional staff. Everyone was extremely helpful, and kind. We loved the bicycles that were available to rent! We had a great time tooling around Ortigia and Siricusa although scary at times!

An amazing hotel with fantastic staff who are really friendly and can’t do enough for you but are genuine and not sycophantic. The room we had was brilliant - split over two levels with a fab bath it was u like any other room we’d been in. Unfortunately the surrounding area doesn’t match the high standards of Ortea Palace. Not that it’s bad but you’d expect the area to be lovely too and it’s not of the same standard. Still highly recommended but just the surrounding area isn’t five star. The hotel definitely is!!!

A Unique and Exquisitely Elegant Hotel
This is an exquisite property beautifully refurbished in every detail. The staff make you feel welcome the minute you arrive until the day you leave, the entire time like totality. A few practical recommendations to help enhance the experience would be to provide a rubber bath mat in the shower. The marble floor with soapy water is extremely slippery and dangerous. A trash can is needed under the sink in the bedroom. The bedroom is dominated by the bathtub, a chair is needed here too. An iron and ironing board in the closet would be a nice addition to help travelers immediately fix their wrinkled clothes. Nearly all Marriotts provide them.

Stunning Hotel

It's a very cool hotel that used to be a post office, so there is an interesting mix of old and new building design. Overall, the room we stayed in was very elegant with high ceilings, velvet curtains and chairs, and antique furniture, with modern technology and bathrooms. The location is great -- just over the bridge which makes it easy to get on and off Ortigia -- and within easy walking distance of all the things to do and see on the island. The only downside is parking which is near impossible to find on your own, so we paid the 40 Euros a day to valet park. Also, the front desk is sorely understaffed, which meant we were always waiting for help. A hotel like this should not have one person working the front desk during check out!

The air conditioning didn't work in our room, which was unbearably hot. They switched us to another room, which was better, but still not great. I spend my nights on top of the covers, sweaty, and waking up during the night. I would not stay here again.

Lovely staff at the check-in desk who were so welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Breakfast was great and made to order options included was a nice bonus! The rooms were beautiful and clean. Easy to notice since everything is white. Self parking is just in front of the hotel. It’s a public lot and 15 Euros for 24 hours. Hotel will register your car for you with the municipality. There’s valet but not worth it when you can literally walk outside and get into your car yourself and go. Location is central to many sites and easy to navigate. Only downside was that it was a bit warm in the rooms. Thankfully the windows open and it was cool outside during our late May visit. Overall we would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ortea Palace Luxury Hotel, and I can confidently say that it was an outstanding experience. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, exuding a perfect blend of modern elegance and timeless charm. The attention to detail was impeccable, creating a luxurious and comfortable retreat. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Concetta, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us with activity suggestions, making plans, and securing reservations. Her expertise and genuine care made our stay truly memorable. Additionally, the breakfast spread was simply amazing, offering a wide variety of delectable options. Only problem with the hotel is: The bathroom floor & shower tray are both slippy and dangerous and no flannels with very tiny shower gel bottles. Everything else were wonderful with excellent services and great locations.

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel with a friendly and professional staff. The atrium housed a comfortable bar area on one side, with the restaurant on the other side. My travelmate gave the spa high marks. It's located within walking distance of most of the Siracusa points of interest.

Amazing amazing hotel! Silvia was SO friendly and helpful at check in and walked us to our beautiful room. Everyone we met was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and we loved everything about this hotel! Only recommendation is to have mirrors and small towels available in the gym :)

Nice hotel , good location , hotel felt a bit cold and lacking a nice outdoor area , staff where very friendly but €20 for a glass of local wine in the hotel bar is excessive when compared to €5 in restaurants

This review could have been so different if the hotel had expressed any sort of acknowledgement to our situation. On our first night, there was a leak in the upstairs bedroom ceiling. When going to bed around 11 pm, I slipped and fell on the water puddle, thankfully I did not get hurt. The hotel immediately sent two workers to investigate. Apparently there was a leak in the ceiling which the hotel knew about as they had placed a small container above the ceiling to catch water from a dripping pipe. Unfortunately the container was not in the correct place and the water dripped from the ceiling onto the bedroom floor, creating a large puddle. The hotel offered us two other rooms to choose from. We repacked our clothes then moved to the new room, it was the same type room, just a little smaller. After this the hotel made no effort to say that they were sorry for the inconvenience, not even a note from the manager. There was a note the next day , but it was a welcome note to another guest. After our three night stay at checkout, I mentioned the flood to the front desk and said it would be nice if the hotel comped us for our incidental charges ( totaling 95 euros) due to the inconvenience of having to change rooms at midnight. The desk person checked with the manager and the response was "not possible" as we had prepaid the room and the hotel bar was part of a different system. Definitely not a five star luxury experience.

Highlight hotel of our trip
This hotel is only four years old. The original building was an elegant former post office. Although the standard room was not large in floorplan, it was artfully appointed with high ceilings, faced an inner courtyard, and in an ideal location to explore the island on foot. The staff was outstanding! We were given a welcome iced drink on check in, sat in plush chairs in their lobby, while we waited a few minutes to check into our room. Cannoli and bottled water was on the table in our guest room. The staff dropped off a dessert each night as well. The spa was free, we reserved it for two hours and that meant we had the entire place to our selves. What value for the money! Breakfast was outstanding! They do everything right at this place:) Only drawback, there was no signs outside with the hotel’s name. Almost like they wanted to keep it as a “ private club”. The hotel has been bought by a large American chain. I hope it can retain its Sicilian charm!
