The place do not exist. It was shut 2 years ago. So after a 12 h drive and at 21.30 night we had to try to find another accommodation. Not happy at all take this listing of your sight. And I have for sure deleted your app from my phone to never be in this situation again.
We never got to stay in this property as it was never available for accommodation! Experia ruined our celebration by listing this property to be booked while it was sold a year ago!
A wonderful, peaceful place. If you are looking for peaceful surrounds surrounded by nature, and don't need the latest luxuries, I can recommend Ferndale with no reservations.
We were disappointed that we were not able to get an evening meal the day we arrived? We were told after we arrived that they had not had enough notice to be able to do that! we were then advised to go somewhere else for the meal. After a long drive to get there we were tired and not very impressed. Otherwise things were satisfactory an dit was a lovely spot.
I love this place! peaceful, relaxing, beautiful walks and the owners are soo kind.... We went up for my friends birthday and the cabin was perfect, BBQ on the deck and a fire pit meant for a stunning birthday. Looking forward to our next stay
Fantastic spot great place. My only suggestion would be to consider getting rid of a lot of the plastic and old furniture lying around would make the place look so much better.
Kee and Chris were excellent hosts.made me feel very wrlcome.
Breakfast was perfect and accomodation very good with fantastic views across the Hawkesbury River
Idyllic location with bushland scenery and river views. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Comfortable cabins, ours was just missing a toaster but everything else you could need is provided.

Quiet place to relax
This was my second time here. Beautiful views of the Hawkesbury from my cabin. The cabin was well equiped with every detail thought of even aeroguard and bug spray (although there are no bugs in the room). The rooms were very clean and they come with A/C, toiletries, microwave, TV. You can turn your light on at night and not have bugs coming in from everywhere. Self cooking was easy in the Conference building with all supplies provided. The hosts Kee and Chris are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and they make you feel at home. Swimming pool was very refreshing. Places to see in the area - walks through maximum knee deep clean water in upper Colo Heights (Colo Merroo), Wheelbarrow Ridge Road mountain drive and Bob Turners Track were all amazing. Thank you again and I look forward to my next visit.
Cabin was spacious and clean. Balcony had great views of river below. Bellbird sounds as well as water skiers. Very relaxing, you fl you have really got away.
Wifi available but only in conference hall and dining room, not in cabin. No mobile phone reception. DVD player and some DVDs available. We would have liked to use the tennis court but rested more instead!
Bushland setting overlooking the Hawkesbury River; ample cabin space inside and out; wonderful, attentive hosts; Took two ferry rides; driving tours to Windsor, Wiseman's Ferry & St Albans; relished the river view and beyond from the cabin deck.
Wecwere really happy everything good we had a lovely time

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is it
This place is the perfect getaway for those seeking isolation and tranquility. It is not on the higher end of the scale accommodation wise so anyone expecting 5 star accommodation, this is not the place for you. It is, however, suitable for those who want to sit on the balcony and be immersed in the bush and river setting that is offered as well as a sanctuary where you feel like time has dissolved into nothing.
The owner and her son were very accommodating and went out of their way to cater for our needs they pretty much hand over the key to their property to do with as you wish.
There is a games room with pool table, ping pong table, etc. as well as a swimming pool, tennis court and conference room/BBQ. Some of the cabins have their own BBQ as well.
The perfect getaway for the person or couple who want to get away from it all.
My partner and I are definitely coming back.
Cabins are a little dated but it adds to the charm of the place. Beautiful views of the river!
Not to far to Richmond and Windsor but twisty, steep roads.
We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the pool
Booked two nights, stayed overnight have to leave next morning because room full of dust, unclean sofa bed sheets(did not
change from previous occupier). Bed bugs in queen size bed.My wife and daughter had beaten by bugs.
Backed to Sydney to seek medical treatment.
Amazing retreat and I would go back. Safe area, amazing views. Breakfast includes hot meal although advertised as continental, cabins look out to bushland and river and the valley, some with better views than others. Swimming pool was a good size and great for a swim. Very friendly service, always happy to help and chat; they will also recommend places to go. Localilty - I was able to go walking outside the retreat on the road and enjoy amazing rock formations and country/farm views, drive to Wisemans Ferry for a walk and lunch, drive (breathtaking views) and swim in River Colan which is family friendly. Locals are friendly. Lots of history in the area about the first settlers. Area also great for water skiing.
