장점도 단점도 모두 가지고 있는 오래된 호텔

호텔 바로 앞에 버스정류장이 있어 시티로 나가기 좋습니다. 지하철은 걸어서 10분 거리에 있어, 어린 아이와 함께 하기엔 조금 불편할 수도 있습니다. 밤에는 거리가 조용해 혼자 다니기 조금 위험해 보였습니다. 하지만, 걸어서 5-10분 거리에 상점들이 밀집해있어 생각보다 편리합니다. 복도는 아무리 살살 걸어도 발소리가 크게 납니다. 숙소에 묵는 손님의 60-70%가 중국인이었습니다. 8박 9일 묵었는데, 한국 사람은 떠나기 하루 전날 딱 한 분 뵈었습니다. 사진에 보이는 것보다 방이 많이 작았고, 침대는 가운데가 푹 꺼져있었습니다. 아이가 2층 침대에 올라가서 자려 했으나, 침대가 많이 흔들거리고 삐걱거려 1층에서 아이 둘이 잘 수밖에 없었습니다. 리셉션의 직원은 대체로 친절합니다. 오래된 호텔이지만 전반적으로 잘 유지되고 있는 것 같은 모습이었습니다.

Nice, clean, neat room. Bathroom clean and a good size. The lack of onsite parking is a serious drawback if you have mobility problems as parking in adjacent side streets may involve a long walk to the motel.

Why not

Un bon rapport qualité/prix (pas cher du tout), mais tout est au minimum : le petit-déjeuner (café ou thé) est minimaliste ( ne pensez pas avoir des œufs à moins de vous les faire vous-même ) , il faut faire sa vaisselle, l'hotel aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement, la literie est vieillotte, des petites bêtes de temps en temps (mais ça, en Australie il y en a partout et même dans des endroits très propres !). Point très positif : le personnel est super, gentil et serviable, il y a une gare (métro) pas très loin, un casino (jeux) avec resto à côté. Si vous voulez faire l'australie à petit prix, n'hésitez pas à venir là !

It's a simple place that is clean and comfortable. What i didn't like was that prior to booking I searched for PARKING as i had to drive from interstate. There are 37 rooms and TWO car parks. I'm sorry but that does not count as parking or even limited parking. You can not park in the street as it is a TOW-AWAY zone. As a result I had to park around 700m away and cross some very dark parkland in order to get to and from my vehicle. Parking MUST mean available for your guests ... not if you are lucky...

Ashfield Manor is an old building that is presented as well as it can be. It is located a short walk from Ashfield Station and it’s not far to the city by train. Mariella is efficient and helpful, as is the staff member that makes up the rooms. We appreciated being able to use the guest kitchen, dining areas; inside and the lovely outdoor courtyard, as well as the breakfast provisions. It is a shame there aren’t many car parks but we managed by parking in the side street some of the time. The slight downside to our stay is that at times we felt like we were encroaching on the space of some of the long staying guests. Overall we would recommend Ashfield Manor for a short stay in Sydney.

Great price. Great location. Very clean. It was super windy so the old style windows rattled. Beds are pretty comfortable. Their pillows are clean and in good condition but mostly one style in the room, so if you are particular about your pillow, take your own. We'd definitely stay there again.

Every thing was good except there was a car parked down the driveway with a car cover over it. we were there on Thursday when we had all that rain. The car was outside our room and the heavy rain was falling on the cover keeping us awake nearly all night. thanking you cliff
