We enjoyed this pet friendly vacation, conveniently located 15 miles north of traverse city and just down the road from Downtown Suttons Bay. Easy to book and owners are on the property - quiet and friendly!
Stay was perfect for what we needed. We have pups and the property met all our needs. Plenty of walking areas and extremely close to town. Will be staying here again.
It was really good for what it was. It was a motel that gave my sister and I a couple of nights of sleep while we played in the area. It was simple but comfortable and I would go back.
The M-22 Inn was great for our 2-day stay. The room was very clean, the staff was great, and Kevin was really good at communication before and during our stay. It was perfect for the 3 of us sharing a room with two double beds. Our room also had kitchenette with dining table and back patio.
Great Location to Sutton Bay and Traverse City! Perfect for teens, young adults and I'm 65 and had a blast. Kevin is in charge and is a sweetheart! He is very accommodating.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was dated but clean. We had spiders in our room. I was fine w it because my bf killed them. If I was alone , it would have been more difficult. If you want a reasonably priced placed to stay, clean, w beautiful views, this is a perfect place.
I would highly recommend this gem M22 inn Suttons bay! Peaceful quite easy to get to. The beds are comfy and the room is very spacious. I will book this again, no problem!
Room was up-to-date, clean & comfy. Great location for meandering around the pinky peninsulas’.
Would be great to see the Grounds/Landscaping refreshed. It was the only part that looked to need some new TLC.
Older property with wear but very comfortable and clean.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Great location, no frills, nice people. I don’t want to have to give this place a bad review. Frankly, the motel needs to be updated - especially at those rates. Rusty register and lots of cobwebs in our room. Kind of a strange smell (damp?) but not bad enough to complain.
Comfortable, safe, clean and well loved. Great location and the friendliest staff. Super clean and ready early for me. I appreciated that tremendously. Perfect for the two days I stayed. Although this property is slightly dated it is well maintained, clean and comfortable. I respect this more than room service and indoor pools. This is not that but offers a perfect getaway with lovely views and minutes from either downtown TC or Suttons Bay. I will return for sure!!

Liked: Cleanliness
I liked the ease of check-in and check-out. The room was clean, but the paint on the walls was dingy with stains, and in need of a fresh coat. The furniture is all very old and dated, but perfectly functional. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows need an update. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board which was helpful. The bathroom was clean and came with soap, shampoo, and conditioner, but it was a small stand-up shower, not a bathtub, so it was a little cramped, but the water was hot and it did the job just fine. If I owned the property I would do the following:
1. Update the paint ($50 paint and rollers)
2. Get matching pillows that give a bit better support and cushion. ($9/pillow on Amazon $36/room)
3. Update the lighting and the night stands(from the 80s) (Nightstand with charging station $70).
4. If not able to get upgraded/updated mattresses, then get some 2 inch memory foam mattress pads. The beds would be amazing.($30-$35/bed, $60-$70/room)
So, for $225 per room, it would be a much nicer place to stay. Owners...pony up the cash. It's worth it! All in all...a little pricey for what you get, but cheaper than other places in the area. I'd go back, but I'd bring my own pillows.
Loved the contactless check-in/check-out! Exactly what we needed for the tail end of our trip--just a comfortable bed in a clean room near everything we wanted to see! Plenty of space for everything we'd accumulated and super easy to get to!
