"The property hired a good photographer to take its pictures for the booking site, which made us believe the property was a luxury place. We stayed in a suite with 3 rooms and a kitchen. The property itself is old and basic. The rooms were old and nothing special at all. The beds were comfortable. A very small bathroom. Cleanliness was good. Breakfast was terrible. Very basic pastry and apples. We ended up eating elsewherez The staff was very nice and helpful. "

" We had a great stay! The continental breakfast was simple but did the job—there were croissants (including ham & cheese), muffins, granola bars, cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, and coffee, which was perfect to start the day. The rooms were clean, and the AC/heating worked really well, making everything comfortable. The property itself felt clean and aesthetically pleasing throughout. There’s both a parking garage and a front lot—it’s a bit tight for larger cars, but we never had trouble finding a spot. It’s a non-smoking property, which we appreciated. While there’s no pool, the location makes up for it. It’s close to the beach, and just a short drive to the wharf and State Street for dining, drinks, and activities. During our stay, we visited Mission Santa Barbara, which was only about a 10-minute drive. We also went to Stearns Wharf—super easy parking and only about 5 minutes from the inn. One of our favorite parts was renting e-bikes and riding all the way to Butterfly Beach. The ride through Channel Drive had stunning views—definitely a highlight of the trip! After our ride, we returned the bikes and ate at Santa Barbara Shellfish Company on the wharf. Highly recommend the bread bowl clam chowder, the cioppino, and the lobster roll—everything was delicious!! State Street also offered great nightlife and tons of dining options. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again! "

"We stayed over spring break and expected a luxury experience given the price and brand, but the stay was inconsistent. The room had multiple maintenance issues: discolored tile near the toilet, worn mirror trim, a toilet handle that did not flush properly, and a lamp that did not work. The seating area near the door was also cramped and poorly arranged. Housekeeping was unreliable. One day the room was not serviced until mid-afternoon, requiring us to wait. Another day it was not serviced at all, leaving us without toilet paper, towels, or toiletries until we followed up. Communication was also an issue. We called the hotel multiple times at different hours and received no answer, which meant walking to the lobby to resolve problems. Some amenities did not meet expectations. The bluffs path was closed but not disclosed. The kayaks were dated, and the beach had noticeable tar and debris. The on-site market had limited drinks and snacks. Costs added up quickly. Valet is mandatory at $75 per night with no self-parking, plus a $60/day resort fee regardless of use. The location is beautiful, and the valet staff were excellent, but overall the experience did not match the price."
