「Beautiful grounds and environment, very idillic and scenic. We were able to catch a stunning sunset on the first night. However, the sunrise was blocked by a hill. The breakfast was decent with a good selection. The staff was friendly. We came in late March, so the grapevines were just stubs. Also, their Michelin restaurant was closed so we had to drive out to get dinner. Also none of the wine tours had started yet, and there were no free wine in the rooms (although you can purchase bottles)」

「I will highly recommend this beautiful hotel to my family and friends, and I hope to return someday soon. The outstandingly helpful staff was gracious and gave me excellent assistance as a solo traveler. As I did not have a car, I needed to secure drivers from the train station pick up and to visit Cascate del Murino. 「Good hotel. If you drive to there based on Google Map, you better follow the main road instead of a muddy road recommend by Google. The hotel is near the old town (so as ZTL!) and just a 5 minutes walk. Montalcino old town get a lot of places to taste wine. Don't miss it!」

「This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.」

「Amazing personnel always taking great care of you, the place is 20 min. Drive from Montalcino, has well maintained pool, breakfast very good, laundry available and restaurant in site. Self-parking area. Great location if you want to disconnect and enjoy breathtaking views of the Tuscany area.」

「The hotel is easy to get to , has a private parking lot. Being able to park and not drive in the narrow streets was a blessing. The hotel is located at the edge of town and only a short walk to everything Montalcino has to offer. The staff was excellent and helpful. We will definitely try to stay again!」

「first, I need to mention about the basic necessity - the hotel just simply arrange me a single bed, instead of putting two single bed to make it to be their "Delux twinbed" By the end, it is not comfortable, there is a big gap between the two bed, inspite there is a camoflage of heavy bed sheets on the top. My rating for this hotel is just Bed and Breakfast grade for Local Italian, there are only two owners and young guy who can speak average English, while they are doing everythings for...

「This is a great hotel for a few nights' stay for a traveller. It's literally next door to the Grosseto train station and just a few blocks' walk to the walled center city. It is lovely, has great, helpful staff, is clean, quiet and secure - with a 24-hour desk person who keeps the room keys while you're out. Breakfast buffet is extensive and high quality -- worth the price. Overall, great value!」
